My redmi 5 plus always shutdown when battery level is at 15%, could custom rom (AEX v6.1) be the culprit?

sometimes, especially when the phone had shut down earlier due to battery drain

One has to think twice now b4 flashing custom rom because of Lavoca 's experience. Last time screen problem and latest battery drain issue

If other users of the same rom are complaining, then it's a rom issue and solution is to switch rom

It's a common issue with Vince. I struggled with the same issue for a long while and I thought it was due to the custom Roms bit the problems persisted even after using miflash to flash the fastboot Rom. The only thing that works is disconnecting the baterry cable from the board and reconnect. Obviously, you need to open the back cover, ores something you can do yourself

I think they fixed it in AEX 6.2, try flashing the latest update.

I used 6.1 and now on 6.2 and I don't experience that.

Hello,
My redmi note 5 don enter brick land after installing xposed. una shud help me please. it enter bootloop.

If your bootloader is unlocked, enter fastboot mode and install fastboot rom.
Another option is if you already have a custom recovery flashed, find your way there and do a fresh install of the most recent recovery rom for your model.

Just search for the latest recovery rom for your device.
On downloading, move the zip file to a folder you can easily navigate to.
Press the combination to enter custom recovery. If you've flashed any zip with TWRP, this should be straightforward for you. The same process you used in flashing the "magisk" or "superuser" zip is same you should use.

In addition to the above, download "Lazyflasher-no-verity.zip" Flash this after flashing the new rom to avoid bootlooping.

Thanks.. Yes, I have flashed magisk before using twrp. My question now is how can I get the downloaded rom to my internal storage now ? and can I use any rom apart from the recovery rom?

Use another phone to download the "Latest recovery rom" for your device(the latest part is very important because of anti rollback) and move the rom into an SD card.

just tried it but I dont think it works. The phone still stucks in bootloop after wiping

A quick reminder once again, download the "Lazyflasher-no-verity.zip" with another phone and ensure you move it into the SD card you're planning to use for moving the rom. Flash this zip after flashing the new rom.

Once you finally get your phone running again, kindly flash Redwolf or Orangefox recovery. The latter will even save you the trouble of disturbing yourself over anti rollback.

I just realized magisk Is no longer available on the phone. And I install the gcam I was using but it always fails to open. Tried 3 version but no success. I even flashed camera2api again.
Do I need to flash magisk again?

Yes. Flash magisk.

Also have magisk Uninstaller zip file in your internal memory or SD card.

When you flash a custom rom, always set the default usb configuration to 'file transfer' so that your internal memory can be accessible even in boorloop

Hey GM, I've been trying to unlock the bootloader of my RN5 Pro. It's been a nightmare. All attempts have been unsuccessful. Could you give me pointers.

I'd appreciate it

Does this mean that he has reversed the root access? If he doesn't flash magisk will he get updates from miui?

Asking cos I'm thinking of trying these roms and still want to know if i can go back to the custom rom later

Yes. you reverse the root Access but you have to use recovery that supports ota update. Twrp is not one. Use, pitch black recovery

Ok. So you won't be able to download it from system update but download it via browser and install via recovery?

Don't know much about flashing. I use redmi 5 plus, whats the difference between vince and pitch black recovery?
