jeff1607: I will not ruin your dog by any means but I can hit with my legs. No weapon and I might wear a padded costume. You are free to record. If your dog attacked without running away, you win. I can do it anytime this week. |

agboedeh: You have the right to prefer a breed to another. I will not derail from the scope of this thread anymore if anyone wants to prove me wrong, let's get out of the keyboard and go to the field. |

abbeg: It is obvious you know nothing about dogs other than the online information. Working dogs is about effectiveness, not size. I will stop arguing with you because I have less time for facebook trainer like you. Good luck with your theory and stay safe. Before, I leave here is a link where caucasian are being trained to attack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL-lnkKoS5o @IamAnderson are you blind to what I wrote here before you are saying rubbish? I guess you are only interested in attacking me without even reading my comment on CO. You are just here wasting people's time with your ranting. Read between the line again and stop the nonsense you are writing. |

wait someone is actually comparing the strength of a malinois to a Caucasian??! lmao! malinois are agile dogs but they are not even close to caucs in strength. can a malinois take down two grown men?(I've seen a cauc take down three) can a malinois kill a wolf?(caucs are famous for that) a malinois can barely stand it's ground with other large dogs (boerbeol, bullmastiffs, kangals and the rest) malinois are fast and agile yes but they are not strong. all these pictures you posted are of malinois doing agile things not showcasing their strength. yes they are used in airports but for different reasons it's never because of their strength. if it's like that, they should have been using them to guard prisons and sending them to the battlefront. if a group of thieves break into your compound what will your malinois do? run circles around them till they're dizzy?? lol sha their is a saying that a man who has never lived in a mansion will be impressed by a bungalow 1 Like |

IamAnderson: I'm not in the business of comparing breeds but I don't see any dogs going to war these days other than a Malinois or GSD. I'm not interested in dog fighting either because it's cruel. Prison guards are using Malinois all over the world. I'm a dog trainer and breeder at the same time and effectiveness is what I crave for. Every breed of dogs was bred for a purpose but how many of them represent that purpose in this age? If you are so certain of your dog, why can't you pick up the challenge and let us simulate invasion into your property? 1 Like |

oluomoadebayo:the malinois you saw in prisons are used to track down and chase escaped convicts not to stop them from escaping. I actually don't hate malinois contrary to that, I admire your breeding and training program. my issue was when you compared the strength of a malinois to a Caucasian or kangal. malinois are not breed for their strength rather they are breed for their speed and agility. I'm not in support of dog fights but if a fight should occur, a Caucasian will easily take out two malinois. when it comes to brute strength, a malinois is inadequate. guarding a property requires strength not speed and agility, when faced with a threat your malinois can be brought down with one bullet meanwhile it took eight bullets to kill one kangal that took it's job too seriously and mauled an old woman to death. if I was to use a dog to track, chase or retrieve things I would pick a malinois but when I need a strong guard dog, I will pick a kangal or Caucasian. a well trained malinois is not as effective as a well trained kangal or Caucasian in guarding property. malinois are agile yes but agility can only take you so far in guarding a place, you need strength to defend the place from an actual threat. 3 Likes |

oluomoadebayo:I remember saying that Caucasians and their kind were better GUARD dogs not working dogs.I also remember saying they were not as good working dogs as gsd and co as they are clumsy and not as smart. But I'm tried of this argument. It's pointless, uneccesary and uncalled for. This isn't a dog vs dog thread.Apologies. 1 Like |

ImFortress:Caucasians are used to guard prisons, military bases by the Russian military and yes personal property too. They are quite agile for their size. But they aren't excellent attack dogs though. |
Re: Belgian Malinois Breeding Plan In Nigeria. by agboedeh: 10:06am On Jan 18, 2019 |
the truth of d matter is DAT a trained Caucasian and kangal are not in d same league with a trained malinois and gsd. the reason police forces recruit the Mali and gsd is because of their intelligence, speed, loyalty and agility. what we sud compare the malinois with is d gsd not Caucasian or kangal. Caucasian and kangal are bred to guard livestock not to do police work because if all what d military look for in a dog is strength, then the gsd and malinois would be their last option. I think a new thread sud be opened for dis argument so as not to derail this one. 2 Likes |

ImFortress:this argument should just end you've already said my mind and we've already derailed this thread. olumoadebayo sorry for contributing to the derailment of your thread I was even following the thread sef. I actually admire your malinois and the effort you put into training them. I hope there are no hard feelings man goodluck and sorry again. |

lovely topic.......but u guys have derailed the thread thou still following........ |
Re: Belgian Malinois Breeding Plan In Nigeria. by abbeg(m): 7:44pm On Jan 18, 2019 |
ImFortress:I said over and over that malinois were better working dogs. The only reason I quoted you was because you said Caucasian got tired easily and couldn't guard people and property. That's what I wanted to debunk. They are not like other big dogs that tire out fast. They can actually go on for a long time. And I've already spoken on the guarding part. What made me to start talking here was just me expressing my preference for strength over speed. Then things went out of hand and started derailing this thread. In fact I want to delete my previous comments. |

oluomoadebayo:What if he's got a few trained APBTs or Kangals. Would you still go ahead? P.S. The money is he's by the way. If at all you got mauled by his dogs, you'd have to give him 50k from your part. To make it even 2 Likes |

abbeg:In heirachy, the Caucasian Ovcharka is higher in terms of fierceness and guarding duty thing. Making them better guard dogs than the BMs and GSDs This is not a convecture but a proven fact! Thorough research will make them learn better. And experience too Cheers! 1 Like |
