chineji:I disagree with the "will never be part because nigeria would be great ONE DAY, maybe in 5,000 years time The question that usually infuriates me the most is WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO DEVELOP THIS COUNTRY? Please do i look like a builder or politician? I know the development of a nation depends on the people and the leaders. In Nigeria, people are not that powerful, our leaders are but what are they doing? they are doing what they know how to do best, that is to embezzle the public funds and run to a sane country to enjoy the money with their families. I have done alot of things to change people's mentality. Guess what, they are far from changing. Seriously, as i am o, i no fit work for Nigeria, even if i get work for NNPC. I don't care. What i care about is myself and if possible, i want to invest, Nigeria would be the place... That is the least i can do for Nigeria. 35 Likes 2 Shares |

chineji: Isn't it shameful and pitiful at the same time? Until Nigerians move away from party affiliations, and start addressing pressing issues affecting us as a people, the status quo of lack and suffering by the masses would abide. 20 Likes 2 Shares |

I completely agree with the OP. A step out from Nigeria to Europe will almost make you shed tears for our dear nation. Looking at the level of development and the pace at which these nations are going; one would sanely conclude we can never catch up. Nice memory from the Milan trip. Hope shouldn't be lost. If it doesn't happen in this generation, maybe the next would get it right. Peace. 21 Likes 2 Shares |

God knows i have been cursing our leaders since i came here a week ago...... Everything is organized... People smile at you at the mall. People follow the rules. People are ready to answer your questions and render help. Internet is cheap. Power supply - no even talk am Abeg...... the only hope for naija are the youths, but look around, all you see is young people shouting Buhari and Atiku up and down..... Fighting and cursing on the internet in support of these old men that brought us where we are...... That is the reason why personally i have given up on naija..... God bless Nigeria sha 56 Likes 4 Shares |

TonyeBarcanista:Tonye, I trust you have been to Abuja. Not saying things are better but from the pictures of the roads I saw here, I don't really see anything special to what is in Abuja. Too much of living in Lagos can also give bad image to Nigeria too. I have been to Lagos several times and the roads are so bad and poor that the picture that the op posted would look like a heavenly picture to most people. I just want to be fair and objective, we have same road in Abuja as was posted by Op. I can agree with other things. 20 Likes |

chineji:I enjoyed reading your write up and feel your frustration. You also need to manage your frustration. Your choice of words seems like you have some motives for this post. Many have gone, seen even more than you saw and managed themselves. Also, try to visit Abuja and see some roads, they look quite similar. Saying Blacks are stupid and the rest in a country and continent that many Africans has changed the cause of humanity says a lot about you sir. You can make a change not by insults but trying to do things right in your little circle. 31 Likes 8 Shares |

TonyeBarcanista: This is actually our problem. We are always praying. Yet God has said that we should have dominion on the earth. Even for the tiniest issues that God has already given us ability to fix, we are still praying. The 2 plants that have the greatest yield of biodiesel extract (Jatropha and the oil palm) are found in Nigeria. Jatropha in the north; oil palm in the south. Yet we cannot develop alternative fuels for our vehicles. We are always praying. Are we the only ones entitled to God's attention? Is Nigeria the only country out of more than 220 countries that God has to pay attention to? Don't get me wrong. I am a staunch Winner and a Christian, but I have come to find out that our continuous method of having religion without righteousness is a big problem. People go to places of worship on Sunday and Friday, and the rest of the week, they are either swindling govt of time and money or doing some other thing. I have just returned from a meeting in my area where I am in the estate executive. I pay my security fees to the letter. Yet there are people who are owing us 16 months, 2 years security fees with impunity. They keep saying things are hard, but they are able to buy new cars, buy rams for Sallah, loads of rice and chicken for Christmas, and other stuff. Yet they prefer the estate security to starve to death and they cannot be bothered. Let me not even talk of politicians and the polity. When it comes to squandering money on women and parties, there is no holding back. But when it comes to minimum wage issues, then they remember that we are just coming out of recession. I lived in this country as a child where we were given milk, biscuits, sandwiches and all kinds of goodies as school feeding. Not the total crap we are seeing today. I once came back from abroad and the Naija police at MMIA were following me like flies, OPENLY BEGGING FOR MONEY in full police uniform! Everywhere you look, it is utter chaos. What kind of country are we in? Nigerians wake up! 92 Likes 11 Shares |

salford1: You nailed it. I wish people can hear the stories behind the privatization exercise carried out by OBJ's adminstration, which had Atiku as chairman of the NPC. You will not believe the things that these politicians have done to this country and the future generations. Now he wants to come back to continue from where he stopped. Anyone who claims to be Atikulated is a very big fool. 30 Likes 5 Shares |

Carmal90: Are Buhari and Atiku the only candidates here? We have the likes of Kingsley Moghalu, a Ph.D holder and former central bank deputy governor who was the brains behind the 2009 rescue of the banking sector. But for him, many Nigerians would have lost their life savings to the likes of Ibru, Atuche and Akingbola and the other thieving bastards preying on bank customers' funds. There are also other cerebral candidates here. Sound intellectual guys who have what it takes to drive the country to the next level. It is like APC and PDP has cast a spell on many Nigerians. 73 Likes 7 Shares |

But OP why you go back na? abi you no like better thing? Lol, my uncle was a strong proponent of the ''no place like home'' mantra. Anytime he calls me, he pounds his ''brotherly'' advice to my ears that I should buy a land and build a house, and come and settle in Nigeria and live like a king lol. It was after I invited him over that he begins to beg how he can be legalized with his family. Leave matter for martyrs my brother, Naija don cast. completely. 48 Likes 7 Shares |
