Joebie: With just 1 game? I see. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by forgiveness: 3:28pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
Joebie: As long as they played for the SE as home based, they are qualified. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Joebie: 7:19pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
Lokosa qualifies to be nominated that’s the point. You are not to question my pick. I don’t have to convincce you y I picked him. That’s not the purpose of this thread. As regards Eze he’s probably been a foreign based player for most part of the year 2018 (I may be wrong here) I’m not against his pick really. I’m just saying the way the category is worded is quite misleading. forgiveness: |

komekn: Thanks. But for Items 8 & 9 u need to make the nominees 3. For your item 11 Nigeria vs Cameroon game was played in 2017. It doesn't qualify for nomination. We are only nominating 2018 goals. Finally is Ndidi qualified for young players award? Yes he is 21 but will be 22 by December, which is the period of the voting and anouncement. Please Ndidi is not qualfied. Maybe we shouuld have specified "for players born in 1997 and younger". |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Icon4s(m): 9:33pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
forgiveness: Samuel Chukwueze played only one game and is already getting nominations. One game is enough to qualify a player. Junior Lokosa is qualified for a nomination. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by forgiveness: 9:36pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
Icon4s: What did they do within 45min they played that they deserved to be nominated? |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by forgiveness: 9:40pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
Joebie: Eze qualifies to be nominated because he played for Chan this year. Good luck to your Lokosa pick anyway. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Icon4s(m): 9:49pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
forgiveness: The rule is "....if a player features in the GWG". The number of minutes played is not specified. As there is no robust statistical data-base to scientifically rate these players we are going to be relying on your subjective but also objective judgements which some monikers believe you posses and so they nominated you as part of the committee. Nothing wrong with nominating Lokosa and Chukwueze. We are still awaiting your full list. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Icon4s(m): 9:51pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
forgiveness: Yes Eze played in the CHAN but he is no longer a home based player. Joebie actually pointed this out and I had to agree with him. The award is for players who are still home based. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by forgiveness: 10:10pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
Icon4s: We don't need to change rules in the middle of nominate. The rules says 'to be qualified, you must play for any other these.......Chan SE, etcetera. Why put another exception after that has been agreed? |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by forgiveness: 10:13pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
Icon4s: Was it specified in the same rule that a player is not qualified because of where he plays? Club must not decide a player's fate. That was the rule. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Icon4s(m): 10:14pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
forgiveness: Which "another exception"? Oga, you are the one trying to bring another exception here. The rule says "a player must play for any of the national teams". So why are you bringing in an issue of "only 45mins here"? |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by forgiveness: 10:14pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
Icon4s: Did he play the CHAN as a home based player or foreign player? |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by forgiveness: 10:16pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
Icon4s: I agreed to that but I don't agree with Eze. That is the point. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Icon4s(m): 10:18pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
forgiveness: If it is the Eze's case the award is for home based players. You cannot give a player who now plays in Europe a "Home based player award". That is the point here. Talking about Club not deciding a player's fate we are taking about not nominating players based on club performances. It seems you need to go back and read those rules again. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Icon4s(m): 10:19pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
forgiveness:Can you give a now Europe based player a "Home based player award". |

Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by forgiveness: 8:34am On Nov 28, 2018 |
Icon4s: If Eze played as home based in 2018, why are we worried he is now abroad? Has that nolified his performance for Chan as a home based player? 1 Like |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Joebie: 8:35am On Nov 28, 2018 |
Apparently you were not getting me. To avoid this kind of confusion is the reason why I suggest some modification of the way the category is worded. I’m not against Eze. I suggest we rename it Best Player as a Home Based player Modified And I would even modify my nominations. No be fight. forgiveness: 1 Like |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by forgiveness: 8:37am On Nov 28, 2018 |
Icon4s: As long he played for home based Eagles in a competitive match, he is qualified to be nominated because home based Eagles performance can be rated based on that competition. 1 Like |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Icon4s(m): 8:50am On Nov 28, 2018 |
forgiveness:The award is for players who are currently home based. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by komekn(m): 11:52am On Nov 28, 2018 |
Icon4s: Well Ndidi is still 21 you can't change the rules in mid-flight. Will come back later in the evening to complete my nominations. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Icon4s(m): 12:02pm On Nov 28, 2018 |
komekn: He would have been 22 by the time we would be announcing the awards. We cannot say ".....award for young player of the year (21 yrs and below) and be naming a 22 years old player. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by forgiveness: 7:23am On Nov 29, 2018 |
Icon4s: That clause was not stipulated in the rules. There must be vote even if I am the only one against this. I will not move forward until this is resolved. |
Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by forgiveness: 7:24am On Nov 29, 2018 |
Icon4s: He is 21 now. |
