Firstly we need to agree on how or who to select as our committee's chairperson.

Also we need to agree on the awards categories.
Are we adopting exact same for last year?
Are we removing or adding a couple of new categories?
Are we maintaining the names to be immortalized? We last used Ogedengbe, Keshi, Okwaraji and Yekini.

Please we need quick responses from committee members as this project has a time line.

I propose we use same names for the most part, but establish new categories.

I also propose the Young Player of the Year award can be called Mikel Obi Young player of the year Award

As for new categories, I want to suggest John Fashanu Nigerian Players in the Diaspora Award.

I agree with your first paragraph. We will be coming up with a few more award categories.

On your second paragraph why Mikel Obi?
Remember the essence of naming some of these awards is to immortalize some of the dead heroes. Based on that Mikel no qualify na smiley We may think of a Top youth player that is late now.

I also agree with your last paragraph. We may tag it 'Best Foreign born 'Prospect''. This will be in a bid to draw the NFF's and SE coaching crew's attention to that player.

Yeah.... Best foreign born prospect will be nice. And they must not include those who are already capped by Euro Nations at senior level.
The focus should be on those who are still eligible for us and we stand a probable chance of capping.

In addition, I wanna ask. Why also not consider a Nigerian Best XI for 2019? We didn't have that for 2018, but we could begin with that this year. What do you all think?

A. Comeback player of the year: A player that returned from injury or a player that beat an adverse situation.

B. Most impactful sub of the year

Ok, but for (A) above we have a 'Most improved' award. The improvement may also be a comeback. So I feel the proposed 'Comeback award' will conflict with the 'Most improved' award.

As for (B) we all can look at but I feel the voting audience may find it difficult to ascertain. Which might lead to ambiguity.

Best assist will not be a bad addition shaa. Hey, we can consider adding that. Would be cool acknowledging the creative abilities of our players too. Aina's assist for Ighalo, Osimhen's assist for Chukwueze, Musa's assist for Ighalo, Ighalo's Assist for Iwobi... Mehn... We have so much indeed. You know what Chief... I think we should add this. I came a conclusion as I kept on typing and recalling all our beautiful assists of 2018 we didn't award and the ones for 2019 we can indeed bring into the light. smiley

The likes of other Naija Foreign borns doing it for other nations should be ignored totally. They are internationals of other Nations.
