AZeD1:The leahy law was used to stop all, i repeat all attempted aquisition from any legal military suppliers eg our attempts to buy the atak helo from turkey then, a frigate from germany, etc many things you dont know ,it led to us going underground and using fronts to purchase weapons as well as going through porous baltic countries Thats how we got our BMPs, T-72s etc from Autocraz in poland, supplied via russia. 1 Like |

Cannonleo:So we could get weapons from other countries e.g Russia and China, and Obama did not enact Leahy's law so why is GEJ blaming Obama for not being able to get weapons to defeat Boko Haram? |

zlantanfan: Obama sure know he exists, US consulate are replying because they've read his book and are compelled to reply, United Nations hold that man in high regards....as for you, I don't know if anyone that matters, even in your own village know you exist. Examine your life, think before you post, for whatever reason. |

kentoski:All this your pains and pettiness changes nothing, us consulate is only irritated by the drunk in misinterpreting its position, you don't need to read his trash before you get excerpts from the story drunk dallies. Gej and his relevance only exist in the minds of PDP supporters, he is not even an astute politician but existing on sympathy to be relevant. Nigerians are still waiting for his Mo Ibrahim award |

AZeD1:you just dont get it do you, With the leahy law which he rigorously pursued( which is what you do when you have a weapon to use against someone that is legal( Soft power), we could not do business with legal country to country basis with the west impossible, with the east a big degree of uncertainty about deliveries, the only option underground buy with its own wahala, overbloated prices and still uncertainity. Could we buy from china, not in the open Could we buy from russia , we did via poland. Now please think |

Cannonleo:We could buy from China in the open. Also the standard military rifle of the Army is the AK which is Russian made that means any weapon GEJ planned to buy would not have been delivered in 2015 so saying Obama handicapped GEJ in 2015 doesn't add up. |

AZeD1:If u know world politics, u might not be typing somethings u are typing. Don't start a fight u can't finish. To build is harder than to destroy. If u know how strategic Nigeria is, how world arms dealers relate, etc u will wonder. Name one country that russia or USA sell arms to & with lil crisis are able to come out. U need to watch middle east unending wars. If u don't know Iran(shiite), Saudi arabia(sunni), Eygpt,America, UK & Israel are all stakeholders in 9ja. One wrong move, it will be like a movie disaster. Only God knows |

AZeD1:did we buy AK-47s in 2015 oga, this rifles have been there since the civil war, and is as old as the army. The newer beryl rifles were bought from poland alongside thr tavors etc. For your info we have almost next to non Chinese weapons except the F-7 |
