It was a nice experience for me over the weekend to visit Ogba Zoological Garden once again after a long time. The atmosphere was cool & serene to allow me the opportunity to appreciate the work of nature. Saw some animals, though not much. Being a snail farmer, it was more like a homely visit for me because of my general likeness for animals.

Just as I was moving around seeing the animals. I saw an inscription "AFTER ANIMALS ARE GONE. WHAT NEXT?" Then, I began to bonder on how the world without animals would be like. Especially, the way some Nairalanders are always willing to hunt down any creeping animals for food or just for the fun of killing them. There after coming on this platform to inquire of the name and all what not.

Now the big question is:
* AFTER ANIMALS ARE GONE. WHAT NEXT?"

* CAN WE HUMANS REALLY DO WITHOUT ANIMALS LIVING IN IT WITH US?

I've never heard of this zoo. Where in Ogba is it? Kindly describe

MODIFIED:
I've just checked on google. It's in Benin City, I thought it was in Ogba, Lagos.

This Your question remains of an inscription on a particular dangerous road in Nassarawa state. "many have gone you are the next" I was on my way to Jos. The kind of shock this inscription couple with the nature of the road sent down my spine, only God knows. Until we pass that place, I wasn't the one seating in the vehicle

chai nawa o.....wha road is that bro? i've never seen such inscription bfr

So you're comparing yourself with an animal?

The natural instinct of a wild animal (predator) is to either be defensive when threatened or attack.

Man (Higher Animal), you can make a choice to attack, or just walk away. Or better still, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
will should then allow them to kill us?what then can u say about the Animals being killed daily by lions and other cani animals? Don't then also deserve to leave?what about the chicken and fishes you consume everyday?don't they also deserve to live?

The rate at which we kill animals in this country is alarming.

Take Lala for instance, I'm not sure I can count how many snakes that man has killed this year alone.

You see now cool cool cool ? When they tell you Lagos State was once a province of the Benin Kingdom, you will start arguing. The Ogba Zoo is in Benin City, Edo State.

Ogba is a Benin/Edoid/ Edo name. Same as Oshodi, Agege, Idumagbo, Idumota, Iju etc ( All areas in Lagos State ). These place names should tell you that Lagos was once occupied and dominated by people and immigrants from Benin and other parts of Edo State. The name 'Eko' means War Camp. There is a place in Benin City known as 'Ekosodin', very near the University of Benin. Oshodi, Agege, Iju etc are all Benin names. Cheers.

Yes, some deadly animals are better killed. What if a black mamba that could have killed you making you not to post this on nairaland was killed beforehand? Wouldn't you like that?
