Victoria Azarenka was a mess loosing her first game and that cost me a lot But I think Serena has a good chance of grabbing it, though her tight fit attire is getting more publicity than her game |

Would have loved it if Serena gets to win this and set the long standing grandslam record she's been aspiring to. I'm rooting for the young Naomi Osaka though. The young woman plays with so much vibe and with a swagger. Garbine is also up there too. Shout out to Andy Murray. Your short dominance of world tennis is an example for aspiring young British talents to look up to. It's sad you've been forced to retire but you gave us all something to remember. Bravo! The men category is really difficult to predict this year which makes it all exciting and scintillating. Gentlemen and Ladies, the Australian Open! |

Didn't know there is a tennis community on NL. I am watching this tournament like crazy. Rooting for Djokovic (the best ever for me, not Federer) and Serena. But there are lots of ways things can go, especially for the ladies' draw: Naomi Osaka, Aryna Sabalenka, Petra Kvitova, Angelique Kerber, Sloane Stephens etc. 2 Likes |

If Alexander Zverev can get past Novak Djokovic I'd tip him to win it. For now though, Djokovic still remains the man to beat. Other outsiders that stand a chance are Anderson, Nishikori.... Of course I'm not entirely writing off the godfather himself; Roger Federer. That man is like fine wine that gets better with age. Goodluck to all off them. Let the best man win |

It's either Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic for the men's title. You don't rule out Nadal though. The you bloods will push - Sasha Zverev, Khachanov and Coriç, but will they have the endurance to go 5 rounds? Anderson and Delpo might cause some upsets especially against Federer should his game drop. I'm rooting for Roger Federer sha, my Number 1 forever. |

Its funny someone called Serena an Old cargo player, with the thrashing she gave Maria ehn; *SMH* Maria won only 2 games, shows Serena still got a lot of game left in her, I just want her to surpass Margaret Court and hang her racket, I'm also rooting for Madison Keys!! Gooooo Serena!! 3 Likes |

Two players I expect to cause surprise upset in this AO are our own South African Kevin Anderson and the Austrian Dominic Thiem. |
