FoodRe: How Much Should A Single, Unmarried Person Spend On Food Daily? by 4mee: 6:58pm On Jan 25, 2024
Jewessgratitud3:
According to your BEL-le. grin

In Lagos as of today, you can spend 1500 on a budget and that is if you're eating once and eating out.

If you cook on a budget, you can spend like 3500 to 4k and it will only take you two days max but you're sure of eating twice a day.

If long throat now worry you at night, suya 1k or 1200 will go down. Add it up to the daily expenses.

most people earn 18k per month
I wasn't talking about entry level jobs. I probably could overlook it if it were a teenage salesgirl earning such. But how can men who have or intend to have a family live off 18,000?

Transportation to and from work for most people now exceeds 1000. In 20 days , that's already 20K. So how does anyone earning such make it work?

I don't want to believe this salaries are city wages.

Go out and make enquires.
Except that person walks to work , farms his/her own food and eats from his/her parents kitchen. You cannot survive off 500 per day if you live, eat and commute in a city like Lagos , port Harcourt or Abuja.

You simply can't.

Greetings all. So, this is a new year, but many of us have started wasting away again (just like last year). It's just difficult for us to save due to bills and addictions.

Let's take the next 100 days (Jan 22 to April 30) to try at saving 500k to meet pressing needs.

We do different things daily to earn a living. Let's cut down exuberances like women, betting, drugs, flashy life etc within this 100 days.

You can drop your daily progress here, let's encourage ourselves. during this period, we can look for alternatives to our addiction, like sports, engrossed in work, video games, joining a pious society etc

For me, I will be sincere. I will overcome women addiction with soapy once every week only. For fancy life, I will only take Pepsi and not energy drink. In local places. Expensive eateries and bars sell higher. For my gluttony, not more than 2 meat per meal (meat of 200 per one). No fancy restaurant. My phone will be my companion after work. I would get another power bank to avoid charging at bet shops.
OP, you will be kidnapped!

The truth is that most of us are looking for 15k per month job and there's no vacancy...
Nobody can live off 15K a month. Except they live with family. How would you live in a city like Lagos on 15K per month if you don't have a family?

Lol . There are people who earn lower than that. Most sales boys and girls here in enugu earn 15k-25k . How much do you think bet9ja cashiers are paid monthly.
How can anyone survive on 15K per month? That's 500 per day? How? huh

You guys can't be telling the truth shocked

Nothing like yahoo. What we have now is rituals. Soap..juju. if u don't make use of it.u won't cashout. If u like buy data of 50gig.without juju.u r lost.
That's what the discussion centred around. Lots of young boys now doing jazz to control the maga. What blew my mind were the folks who said lawyers are also doing jazz to get clients, can you imagine?

The country is too difficult and inflation is getting worse.

Imagine, finding a job that pays u at least 50,000 a month which is not even enough is so difficult to find for the average person.

People are still working for 28,000 job a month, how are we going to survive bruh grin

Yahoo seems like one of the only ways to live a decent life in Nigeria but they should just not scam fellow Nigerians, their focus should be in Europe and America grin
How can anyone be working for 28,000 a month?

That can't possibly be true, can it?

I visited a part of Lagos over the Christmas holiday and was stunned by the ostentatious display of wealth by young men in their early twenties. Imagine driving a petrol-guzzling car at 600 per liter.

I was told by my bolt driver that the boys were all Yahoo boys and their numbers had tripled in just under a year.

The sad part came later when he explained how he would abandon driving bolt for yahoo as soon as he saved up enough money to buy a gaming laptop with a years high speed internet subscription

Then today, I watched a heart rending video of young Nigerians analysing strategies for yahoo.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0r4pp-u_uI

This begs the question:

how do you dissuade young people from fraud in a country with terrible entry level salaries?

that guy in blue sounds like he does a lot of yahoo

omoh..........bet9ja and yahoo nah the only youth empowerment we get for nigeria.

knw dis and knw peace

95% of the boys for my street nah yahoo boys.
Same here. In fact, I used to live in an estate that was strictly for young, upwardly mobile professionals. We had investment bankers, big 4 consultants, csuite executives and top level government executives living there. Until gradually, Yahoo boys started moving in.

They came with all these young, slim girls in skimpy outfits and the neighborhood slowly began resembling a hookup hotspot.

Folks started sell their apartments and houses and moving out.

Today, almost everyone there is a yahoo boy. And it's scary.
