Godvilla: I guess u hav to create scatter files with MTKDROID to manually port CWM recovery. Must take pre-causion in processing it and can only be processed with a computer.
I'll create a scatter file 2day and upload it later in the afternoon. I dnt hav a Gionee E3 here with me. So be patient.

bLacK GoLd: Regarding the Gionee e3 in black color, i have not seen one!

However, the software that comes preloaded on this phone is junk and the user interface is so CHINESE! I have been trying to switch to a custom ROM all day but it is so difficult to even get the slightest support for this device unlike you'd do with a reg phone.

Nevertheless, the audio quality of the phone is superb, the camera is decent but NEVER try to use the flash in low light because it is shitty! The battery life seems better than i expected although i have not put it under intense use.

I doubt if any regular android user would appreciate the interface of this Gionee except when ported to a custom rom. Now where is Godzilla and 4Peace? I need help!!!

If you get the question I asked, I said maybe they have two version and my friend was cheated cus what he brought to me all I saw waht 4gb ROM.

I was helping a friend tweak his new E3, which he bought just because he was also deceived about the ROM, I went to the storage and confirm my initial fears. The truth is Gionee Elife E3 has just 4gb ROM and out of this just 1.7gb is available to the user.

I still had to search further to confirm my friend was not cheated till I saw this video:

Anybody who claims otherwise can post a screen shot of his internal storage on this thread and lets know if they have two versions of this phone or what.

I still believe Jiayu G3s is still better at this range.[/b]

Ogetogeo: To all the aggrieved Gionee fan boys, I never meant to be a party spoiler. I just posted an observation and since you guys claim it has 16gb ROM. I advice whoever wants to buy to confirm the one he is buying cus the one my friend bought at 36k has 4gb ROM.
