OBJ already sounding like an ancestor wise words from an elder. |
A Pastor in America announced to his church on Sunday morning, "THIS CHURCH IS DEAD". The congregation looked startled! He then announced, "come back to church this evening for the funeral service of this church". The bewildered church still remained in shock, not knowing what was going on, but by the time it was evening service, the whole auditorium was packed, because people who weren't even coming to church regularly showed up to attend this special funeral service. The pall bearers came in with a coffin, and the pastor began the funeral service. Still in shock, the congregation didn't really know what was going on. Then the pastor asked everyone to file out one by one to pay their last respect to the dead church inside the coffin. Quickly, everyone filed out one after the other. By the time each member looked inside the coffin, they saw a large mirror there, placed at the bottom of the coffin by this strange pastor. The rest is history... Who died? Each member saw his faces in the mirror. The pastor was referring to them all. They had all lost their passion and fervor for God. Friends, has your fire for God died? Do you still feel any form of remorse when you tell the smallest lie? If you don't feel anything at all, there's a big problem. You've lost your fire. And a fire-less Christian is powerless, weak and unimpactful. Get back your fire in the place of prayer and in deep study of the word. If you can spend 5hrs on social media per day, why can't you spend more on daily study of the word and in prayer? If your fire has died, you are treading on a dangerous ground in this end time. And please preserve your fire. Fire is expensive to kindle. Being born again is not an automatic door to a Christian life of fire. *Fire stands for a burning passion for God beyond anyone else or any other thing in this world. And nothing grows passion for God like prayer and meditation on the word of God. Don't lose your fire on the laps of Delilah. Run away from that girl and from that man. Don't lose your fire on the platter of fornication and corruption, or any other kind of continuous sinful lifestyle. And please, don't make fire extinguishers your best friends. Love everyone, but make your closest friends, fire igniters. People whose prayer and word life will be of immense challenge to you. Fire is expensive to kindle and much more expensive to re-kindle!. |

I and my wife have been married for 9 years now, we have 3 children Peace (7) Mark (5) and Zion (3). Our marriage has been relatively peaceful like most marriages but not devoid of little differences couples face once in a while. We live modestly and by the grace of God I provide for my family at least their basic needs. But one thing that is becoming a real issue for me is my wife's habit of stealing money from my pocket, initially when I noticed my money was missing and confronted her she blantantlly denied it and claimed maybe I lost it outside. Know fully well that that is not the case I decided to test I heed money under my box and she still located it when I noticed that my money was missing and confronted her with fact she denied at first but later admitted to taking it. When I asked yesterday that what are the 3 things in life she will never? The first on her list was "I will never steal, excluding from my husband". Her reply has kept me wondering if she will ever stop stealing, I can't leave any money in my pocket peacefully again she doesn't care whether the money is mine or not. Please what can I do to help my wife I need your suggestions? |

Say No To Sick Presidential Candidates!!! Nigeria Go Better!!! |
"If you can make it through in Nigeria, you can make it through anywhere else. It might sound cliche but it's fact." Like most local kids in the sleepy, coal-mining city of Enugu, for Augustine Azuka Muhammad Yavuz Okocha - or just Jay-Jay as he was nicknamed by his older brother - there was only one goal. "Enugu Rangers was almost the dream of every young player growing up in the Eastern part of Nigeria," says Udoh. "They play in all white, Real Madrid colours, very emblematic of the region, the culture, everything else." So when a teenage Okocha joined the club in early 1990, in most people's eyes he had already made it. "Just thinking about a kid growing up, kicking a ball around and ending up at Enugu Rangers - that was almost the high point of where you wanted to be as a footballer," says Udoh. But that year would also see a breakthrough for African football on the global stage. Neighbouring Cameroon defeated reigning world champions Argentina in the opening game of Italia 90 before going on to reach the quarter-finals, losing out 3-2 to England in a thrilling encounter. It was the furthest any African team had got in a World Cup previously. Following the finals, an inspired Okocha travelled to Germany - eager to see how football was run in a country that had just become world champions. It would prove to be a life-changing trip. "He had a friend who was playing for Borussia Neunkirchen in the third division over in Germany, and he just went there on his summer holidays to visit him and it was just a classic schoolboy's dream," says Ed Aarons, Guardian football journalist and author of the book Made in Africa: The History of African Players in English Football. "He went to a training session, dazzled all the coaches and was picked up." English is the official language in Nigeria, but Okocha knew Germany may be his only gateway to the top. "The best chance for any African footballer, whether you were from a French speaking or English-speaking country was to go to mainland Europe, because the English league was a closed shop - even for people outside of Britain until the 90s really," says Aarons. Moving from the heat of West Africa to West Germany would be a culture shock for anyone, let alone a teenager. "When you think about how Nigeria was back then and how the whole lack of communication was back in those days, as an African kid going to Europe - the first thing is always the cold," says Udoh. "That cold shocks you into reality. "The one thing we always tell ourselves in Nigeria is that Nigeria is a challenge on its own. So if you can make it through in Nigeria, you can make it through anywhere else. It might sound cliche but it's fact. "When you have to go through all the things you have to go through here - lack of electricity, terrible roads, sometimes you have to travel long distances to get fresh water - when you get from there to a first world country where everything works, you have access to water in your bedroom, you can just drive to training, while there's that difficulty in adapting to the weather - the new ease of life just makes it a whole world of difference. "That adaptation isn't as hard as it would be if you were coming from Europe to Africa."

Jose Mourinho was sent off as Roma finished with eight players in their 5-2 defeat to Real Betis in a pre-season friendly on Saturday. The game was tied at 2-2 in Seville when Mourinho, appointed Roma manager in May after being sacked by Tottenham, reacted furiously to the referee's decision to let Alex Moreno's goal stand after the Betis player appeared to handle the ball. Jose is always involved in one controversy or the other can he really get back his winning mojo?

The FCT Primary Health Care and Health and Human Service Secretariat is holding a one day sensitization seminar to breastfeeding mothers representing the six area councils in FCT with the minister of state for health FCT. The first 1,000 days in a baby's life is very important and making sure the baby breastfeeds within the first hour of birth and making sure the baby takes zero water for the first six months after birth. Parents should be responsible and giving their children a good foundation by giving the child only Breastreast Milk for at least the first 6 months of their existence. These cannot be over emphasized as it has been proven that children who go through exclusive breastfeeding are always healthy.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SEX There is something both the aged and the infant do not know anything about. The church also has closed her eyes on this particular issue. Nobody wants to talk about it but it is very real. In case you are not aware my brethren, I want to tell you that: SEXUAL IMMORALITY is the last bullet the kingdom of darkness has thrown against the church of God, and the church is wounded very sore that there seems to be no cure or remedy. I want to make it so clear and not in jargons or vocabularies that, you cannot count the number of people who go to church and proclaim the name of God, that are still living in immorality. They may either be suffering from *lust, masturbation, pornography, adultery, incest, homosexual, lesbianism, sodomy, bestiality and many more* which time will fail me to mention. Hardly will you come across a young lady who has not been misused by 'so called boyfriends'. And every guy is now dating because of sex. God is watching all those that are having sex with people they haven't married. It's a headache for God seeing his own created people perishing in a sin called sexual immorality. How many young men today in the church can you count and point fingers at that fornication has not pulled down? A pastor slept with his junior pastor's wife, impregnated her, and used the name of God to defend himself that it was God who instructed him to do so. Sex that is supposed to be between husband and wife only, is now between father and daughter in the church, do I need to tell you there is fire on the mountain? If sex that is only legalized between a man and his wife, is now between a guy and his girlfriend or between a man and his fiancee, do you need angels to come and sound the warning against sexual immorality? If sex that is a sacred thing in marriage has become a desecrated thing in dating, what else do you want before you prepare the way of the Lord? PASTOR, WHY ARE YOU QUIET?! Cry aloud, spare not. And tell the house of Jacob their sins, and Israel their transgressions. Pastor why are you not crying aloud? Why are you so mute like ELI? Heaven is shedding tears over the perishing souls every day and you are there raising funds every Sunday to build bigger Auditorium. You call your members for anointing services and prayer meetings without urging sin out of them. Some are living together with men that did not pay any dowry on them. Some commit abortion and cover it up. Some are lesbians and homosexuals. What are you doing about that? Where has the word of God that says *"flee fornication"* gone to in your Bible? From henceforth, if you don't take this warning and start declaring war against this strange spirit that has taken over the church, you'll have questions to answer. And those who claim they love holiness messages with negligence to this particular truth about sex have actually missed the mark. AND YOU CHURCH MEMBERS! To be active in church and still be committing immorality, God is watching you. To be a child of God and still having a boyfriend or girlfriend, God is watching you. To be a choir member or youth leader and still be doing what the married are doing, if you like continue. All you need is genuine repentance. https://www.nairaland.com/5111962/sex-sex-sex-sex-sex |
Luk 14:33 KJV. (33) So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. This was such an urgent mission that there would be no time even for grieving the dead: Mat 8:19-22 NIV. (19) Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, "Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go." (20) Jesus replied, "Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." (21) Another disciple said to him, "Lord, first let me go and bury my father." (22) But Jesus told him, "Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead." When JESUS said "FOLLOW ME" he did not mix his words it was very clear, you cannot server two masters at a time. With rising societal influence on every day Life can one truly leave everything behind and follow Jesus the way the Apostle did? It is a really had but simple question every Christian should answer. |
