We as curious beings tend to be on a search for an "interpretative pattern" that gives our lives a meaning, making faith somehow a natural trait human beings possess.

Faith according to Wikipedia:
faith
/feɪθ/Submit
noun
1.
complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

2.
strong belief in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual conviction rather than proof.

Faith can be influenced and reinforced by your enviroment, which includes your family, teachers, friends etc. To put in a nutshell, everyone you're surrounded by.

However, we live in the 21st century and science, which has come a very long way is now capable of explaining some things that had before been unexplainable, resulting to God's contours/outlines getting increasingly blurred.

The more science is able to explain, the more people lose their faith and the more become atheists.
This doesn't change the fact that there is still a lot science in unable to explain. Science in most cases is only capable of describing things rather than explaining them.

Sometimes we find ourselves in a hopeless situation, where science or technology is unable to save or help us, for example when someone gets diagnosed with a deadly disease or someone dear to us in a coma state or a persistent vegetative state or even if that person happens to be US.

It is during times like this we tend to hold on to sth or someone like God (or as atheists will say say, a "sky daddy" ), who might still be able to save the day by miraculously healing the person.

Although, most people are guilty of these (including some atheists, who ask for a pastor on their deathbed), situations like this are very common in developing countries, where most times all people have is "hope".

The more developed a country is, the more its citizenns tend to see God as someone people needed in the past to explain the unexplainable, a person who is however becoming less relevant in a world where science and logic is now used to explain the world.

But how less relevant can he become?

Because despite all of these, there is still a large number of people in developed countries, who still confess to some sort of spiritual belief, such as a life-force or divine spirit that pervades nature and humanity leading to the questions:

1) Are you of the opinion that there'll be a time where reliigion becomes history?

2) Don't you think it is human nature to try to explain the complexity and unpredictability of the world by believing in sth. spiritual etc. ( even when there is none)?

Well religion will always be here, people will always want to have something to hold as belief for a better tomorrow, earth or afterlife.
While religion could have its own benefits; like stoping some very few individuals from committing crime because of the fear of Hell. There will certainly be other who will take this opportunity to steal, lie and blackmail people like the Men on suit.

It’s human nature to find something to hold on as a belief system, our forefathers did it, because they had organized religion that’s why the whites could easily sell their religion to them making them believe that their god was even more powerful with the use different methods. Like; drugs to cure illness etc, that’s why Christians still talk about how god inspired people to invent the things we use today

Religion is here to stay and those who don’t succumb to it will also remain here smiley.

Just try to do your best by helping when you can and don’t get into messy arguements like I’ll do after this comment.

Pure myth.

Blame brainwashing not prosperity.
North Korea is an atheist society yet poor.
While South Korea is very religious.

Poverty should make people angry at GOD not prosperity.

Who practices religion? Men. Would men be around forever? No way. There’s a good reason why all men die someday. Do you believe a truly good being like a heavenly angel would ever die? Nope! Men die because they are bad and evil.

God’s current purpose is to eradicate all that is evil from existence. Evil is currently still alive, but good is stronger than evil so therefore God will soon be victorious in killing off all evil. It hasn’t happened yet because it’s like cooking a meal, it’s only ready after sometime with the fire and not immediately.

The likelihood of religion dying out may be increasing and it may very well happen. However we humans are notorious for carrying forward bad ideas and irrational thinking, it may take something truly shocking like the arrival of aliens who have no concept of a god, to shake us out of it. And even then it may persist, as some will see it as a test of their faith.

What do you expect from a country that executes Christians?

Religion would not be around forever because mankind will not be around forever. I then explain why mankind wouldn’t be around forever.

It makes no sense? You think God will ever die? Why the hell do men die? Because they’re too good? Look, I already know that most people deny the truth. Your comments are predictable seeing as you’re a human as well.

Re: Will Religion One Day Become History? by gensteejay(m): 7:46am On Feb 12
Today's religions — Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Eckankar, and the likes — will certainly die in the future when ground-breaking discoveries are made by science on soul, extraterrestrial life, origin and evolution of the universe, etc.

Unfortunately, new religions will emerge. Some even approach the mainstream science as a religion.

FALSE religions will certainly die! Because the new generation of humans are awaken towards the menace of false religious teachings. Revelations 18:21
Though it might interest anyone that the Bible{a book thought to have erupted out of religion} is also saying that religion will die, but the fact is that humans will surely count all their losses due to religious activities and turn against religion! Revelations 18:4-10
But then PURE worship will remain until the intolerant victims of false religions will insist saying "since we've stopped our own RELIGION,YOU{true worshipers} must also forgo your faith" Revelation 19:19
So because these faithful worshipers will not agree to abandon their faith, these faithless people will attack them out of spite. They will kill many of faithful worshipers and then the one who has hidden HIS face for sooooooooo long will come to the rescue of HIS people and destroy all faithless people! Revelations 19:20,21
Then the unimaginable will start taking place,as HE will start raising HIS friends back to life for them to live forever as youths! John 5:28,29
So truthfully speaking,FALSE religion is about to die! That's why you're seeing many of it's former victims turning in mass to ATHEISM while majority is claiming NONE~DENOMINATIONAL due disappointments experienced in FALSE religion. But there is TRUE faith and relatively FEW are "finding it"! Matthew 7:14 wink wink wink

There is no such thing as Homosapien. You probably consume a lot pseudoscience materials called science by charlatans.

Religion or no Religion, the world is damned, the world was once without religion and the world is not going to get better even if religion dies out. Humans have been trying to prolong what have been doomed. The problem is not with religion but with life in general.

Don't mind those STUPID Atheists who thinks they've got something tangible to offer when all they can do is just to blow grammar in arguments without anything worthwhile! undecided undecided undecided
Madness is making them feel useful when they're really useless. How can some normal humans claim that there shouldn't be a school of thought that's capable of CONTROLLING the minds of intelligent creature, yet they're coming to the public with the intention to correct the thoughts of other intelligent creatures like themselves
I'm only been sarcastic as to their claim! cheesy cheesy cheesy

Religion has had 1000s of years to lead us to any sort of utopia but it has failed. I have no hope the next 1000s of years will bring any utopia by religion. If a utopia is reached it will be through the effort of men and science.
