Hausas are living happily and peacefully in Igbo Land only that they don't invest there
But I am still finding it difficult to understand while Yorubas are avoiding South East like a man that has Leprosy.
Becos they fear that one day u may just decide to kill all of them. Yorubas fear Igbo like mad.

what you don't know about the Yorubas is that we travel a lot outside our comfort zones. But most of the Yorubas you see outside their zones are most professionals like doctors, lawyers, engineers etc not traders like the Ibo's who do their businesses on a daily bases. That's why you hardly know if there are in your states or not cos you don't see them on a daily bases

This is true.
Many tailors in Aba are Yorubas. When I was in Aba, my most dependable tailor was a Yoruba man.

your an educated fellow.vhope you realise the difference between lease and purchase... and do you know that C of O can be revoked.

With a lease, interest reverts to the lessor at the expiration of the lease period, purchase is outright. Yes, CofO is revocable at the instance of the government with compensation payable for the unutilised interest on the land and not on the developed property. The scenario above does not in anyway apply to the extant request bro.

There are three key points to take away from this topic.

1. Sarkin Hausawa commends Ibo for "accomodating" them on Ibo soil.

He did not call Nnewi no man's land nor did he say they have a constitutional privilege as Nigerian to make claims.

2. He said they have applied for land but get pushed around and told land in "Iboland" belong to families.

3. They need land for a market exclusive to their trade and they also need land exclusive to bury their dead ones.

These three pointers will get circulated around the country soon and become a defining reference for a change in SE and the manner that it treats non-Ibos.

Hausa is not the first to complain about land discrimination in SE, Yorubas lamented about Govt giving them land only to be taken away again later.

If SE did not amend this discrimination practice other regions impacted will impose restrictions on indigenes of SE living on their soil.

I encourage leaders in SE to review what this Sarkin Hausa said and begin a process to address it.

Not only SE, they hardly leave their 6 SW states...

U will see someone from osun, schooled in Oyo, living in ondo, married from Ekiti...

There is this communication barrier they have, it makes them finding it hard to leave .

That's why the few ones who left SW to other region for NYSC, after POP, na race them dey take go back....

Any yoruba man who u see traveling was not born and brought up in the SW....

Update:

Dont call Lagos SW b4 thunder fire u there

Many Yorubas (especially from Oyo and Osun states) traveled to Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire etc years ago. They were into gold mining and cocoa trades mostly. They enjoyed travelling along the West African coast for business. Thats why they could speak Ghananian languages in Ogbomosho and French in Ejigbo years past.

There are many living in the North and in the South South especially PortHarcourt. You'll surely find some in Onitsha as traders or artisans.

The truth is that a Yoruba man will not feel comfortable in a place where he can't easily buy land to settle properly. That's not an easy task for any 'stranger' in the East.

Do they give free land in Nigeria? Why not try negotiating with the land owner and purchase it.
