So anyway, one year I was spending Xmas on my own. I cooked a huge meal as if I was having people over. I dished everything up into old ice cream containers & gave them to a group of people living under a bridge near where I was staying at the time. I went home & ate a sandwich. I felt proud of myself for doing that. I have compassion for & affinity to homeless people because I know the feeling of "homelessness". I may not have lived as a vagrant on the streets, but I sort of understand how it feels to lack roots so to speak.
