I have known Marshal and Gloria for a while.

When I saw his post on facebook this last night, I suspected the lady cancelled the wedding due to infidelity... Involving her close family relative or a close friend.

He is playing smart by trying to paint the lady black with his long epistle.

Trust Nigerians, it's always a lady's fault without finding out what happened, what went wrong.


The real question remains what did Marshal do that made Gloria take such decision?

Answer : He was also involved with her younger sister.
She suspected he was cheating on her but couldn't quite place it.. Until she decided to find out who the other lady was.. Lo and behold, it was her kid sister.


Going through Marshal's facebook timeline, it's easy to see how he was fond of displaying and showcasing Gloria, always writing epistle of love about her.
No one would think he could even look at another woman, how much more her sister... In a time they were preparing for their wedding.

But it's the nature of men.
Men can never be satisfied.

Marshal, however, dishonoured Gloria. He should have at least, gone for another woman... Not her own blood.

Marshal should come clean and tell the world what he did.

Cancelling the wedding ain't the problem, it's her prerogative. The only problem I have with the issue is the timing. Hence, unless there's something that just came to light - such as evidence of cheating/fornication or terminal illness - I will find it difficult for anyone to justify this cancellation.

An average girl all over the world dreams of her wedding as young as 10 years of age. An average Nigerian lady gets pressured to marry once she's 23 upwards. The older she gets, the more desperate she is to have her "Saturday". Now for a typical Nigerian lady to abruptly cancel her wedding barely a week to the d-day, the groom to be has some answering to do. Oga spare us your epistle, what did you do?

I remember a case of one foolish boy whose mother told him to test his wife-to-be by beating her. He slapped her over a flimsy misunderstanding and she called off the wedding at once. Men needs to realize that the days of putting their finances through silly tests and pushing their endurance limits are fast passing by. More and more women are knowing their worth and will rather remain single than remaining with an energy zapping brute of a man.
