Good job, Cutie Pie. You are doing very well. Mod of the year by a mile.

Odunnu:

Shey you saw how busy body, Ileke and Slap1 suddenly dropped out of school?

Busybody has finally reached Yaba Left. LOL.

What interests Ileke these days is Eze. Oh, and anything that starts with letter "I".

Slap1 is busy with studies and girls.

About new words:

The journalist also got slaughtered for this mistake (we have examined it on this thread):
And those bored of using the word ‘mates’ might consider ‘bromance’, the new trendy way of referring to friendship between men.

^^^read the comments grin. And, this is the best broadsheet in Britain (sales, at least). That tells you something about the language.

I guess you are simply rudderless.
I still maintain that you can't have 'more tougher'
Or what prevents 'more better or more taller' from being correct if 'more tougher' is acceptable.
If more tougher is acceptable?

i  agree  with  the part in  bold i said so!!

i did  not  say "more  tougher" is  acceptable. read grin

you are determined to  indulge in controversy so best wishes.
i'm off to buy a rudder!

Hi NLanders, please help.

Gago, 25, made a positive impression after joining Real from Boca Juniors, but has falled out of favour under Jose Mourinho.

Is "falled" now allowed? Or just a mistake? It's not just Online, mind you. It's in their print edition today.

Just curious.

Fell? As in a tree?

But, "fall out of" is a stock(?) expression - hence my question. The paper actually meant the past participle of "fall"

Pls the word 'proudness', is it correct?
Re: ABC Of Common Errors And Mistakes In English by Nobody: 11:09am On Aug 28, 2011
Note that in the article, "falled out of" was used-not 'felled'.Since "falled" does not exist in English Language,I believe it was mistakenly used.

And, you can watch out for "bold" - verb form.

Grammarians and linguists will eventually have their way. Oxford dico editors are being bombarded with these words. And, sieving through these words isn't easy.

Prof, quick one:

What is the correct pronunciation of the word SCHEDULE? Skedul or Shedul?

I use both interchangeably depending on which the person I'm talking to uses.

I think 'skedul' is the correct pronouciation although I hear people saying shedule alot, I don't say it. Think of words like Scheme, School, Scholar etc.
