dingbang:I am laughing at u as well. Your first argument was comparing South African with Nigeria and I know you that the system of government in Nigeria and South African is not the same. You realized that the system wasn't the same and that is why you quickly changed the topic discussion to gender equality. We borrowed our type of government from the American system. Ask yourself whether there is gender equality in Regan, Bush snr, Clinton, Bush jnr, Obama and Trump's government. The Presidential system of government is different from the Parliamentary system which the South African are practising. The South African president was elected by the National Assembly to lead the cabinet, every members of the South African lawmakers that belongs to the ruling party are also members of the Executive. Note the difference and stop comparing what you don't know. |

Buckubuck: It's a customised Parliamentary system, and should not be compared to the Presidential system. |

ThePreachersSon:Thus the bone of my argument. It is customised to meet the peculiar needs of SA as a nation, not taken hook, line and sinker from the Europeans. I believe this is what Nigeria needs to do as the present system does not favour us in any way. BTW, SA's system also shares some similarities with the presidential system as well since the president serves as both head of state as well as head of govt |

Buckubuck: Nigeria has been a Yes sir! Yes ma! state since forever. We do whatever would be in the best interest of foreign powers as long as it benefits the high and mighty in power. I have always believed the Presidential system is for the United States, the Parliamentary system is for Britain. But we choose to accept the American system, not just the system but the electoral process too. Every other sane state accept democracy yes, but they modify it. Canada operates the Parliamentary system the Brits left them, but in their own way. Same can be said of SA and other countries. The sooner we realize we are boarding a train heading for doom the better for us. |

ThePreachersSon: We can't realise that because the system benefits some people. The victims themselves have now turned to the supporters of the beneficiaries. So, the train will continue moving until perhaps a separate shock knocks it off its track |

Buckubuck: It would be a disaster. A friend was analyzing something the other day. He spoke extensively about Communism and socialism, about the Russian, Chinese, Mongolian, and Cuban system. When practiced right, there could be benefits, true no system is perfect but if we set aside our greed, and sentiments, we can make any system work. He used the military as an example. If properly packaged, a good system would be birthed. A system where Nigeria's sovereignty and unity comes first. A system where human rights would be respected. A system that would have everyone represented, the affluent and the peasants. If China, under communism can lift over 100 million people from poverty within 15, we can make any thing work. I never agreed with his opinion, but I have this feeling that we're headed for the rocks |
