By seven p.m., when Manu got to the Pleasure Zone Restaurant and Bar, the place was already brimming with customers. After the hard day's work, many men decided to frequent the place for relaxation.

Some came to drink while some wanted to dine. Some others came to satisfy their pent-up lusts. Yet, some came to enjoy all the services that the place could offer. Apart from the food, wine and beer, some scantily dressed ladies offered 'short time' and 'long term' services for men who desired them.

Manu came to take drinks and pepper soup and to have a fun-filling time with his regular, the lady simply known as Princess.

He sat on one of the plastic chairs surrounding an empty round table. He could see and hear clearly the programme going on on the television. One of the sales girls drifted towards him.

'Welcome, sir. What can we offer you?'

Manu nodded at her. He told her the brand of beer he wanted. 'Also give me a plate of pepper soup.'

Within a couple of minutes, his orders were brought. He used table spoon to sip the soup as he took the beer. Intermittently, he also picked meats from the plate and munched. He had not spent up to ten minutes when Femi came to the bar. Manu and Femi were working together before the latter got a job at Dangogo Foods Limited as Sales Supervisor. Manu owned Excellento Tutorial School and Femi used to be his Economics teacher for GCE and UTME students. His job had taken him away, but not totally. Many evenings, they met in the bar.

'Manu, the Manu,' Femi hailed, making straight for his table. 'How was school today?'

Manu smiled, shook hands with him and shrugged.

'School was fine as usual,' he returned. 'How was you rice, salt and sugar business?'

'Fine too.' He sat down opposite Manu. He too ordered for beer and pepper soup. As the sales girl brought his orders, Femi looked at her with a grin.

'Is Juliet around?'

The girl nodded. 'Yes, sir.'

Femi's grin became wider. 'Tell her to come.'

Once again, the sales girl nodded. 'Yes, sir.'

Manu could not understand why Femi was fond of Juliet. It was true she was busty and well-endowed at the bum, but to Manu, she was too tall and muscular for his liking. But then, that was Femi's choice. Afterall, one man's food was another's poison.

Juliet soon came to join them.

'Juliet, Juliet. My beautiful babe, Juliet,' Femi said.

'Good evening.' Juliet sounded moody.

'Why is my babe looking unhappy. Sit down, let me put you in the right mood.'

She sat next to him. He ordered Malt for her.

'I can still see a slight frown on your face,' he said. 'Let me book for a room. We will talk better on the bed,' Femi said.

He stood up, holding her hand. Manu watched them walk to the Manager's office cubicle. He shrugged.

But wait a minute, where was Princess, his babe? Normally, within few minutes of coming to the place, she would come and join him at the table. Why had she not done so today?

He beckoned at the sales girl that had served him.

'Where's Princess? I've not seen her since I came here this evening. Hope all is well with her.'

'She's not feeling too good. Actually, she's down with malaria.'

'Oh, I see.'

No wonder he had not seen her. That meant he would have to take on another lady. He had always enjoyed Princess. She had the shape and figure he would wish a lady to have. For months now, since he started patronizing Pleasure Zone, and since the first time he had her, Manu had made her his choice.

He had some other ladies he slept with in other joints, but as far as Pleasure Zone was concerned, Princess was 'numero uno.'

He was still contemplating what next to do when he heard some noise coming from the passageway that led to different rooms of the brothel.

The noise soon moved to the bar. He could see the Manager looking agitated and trying to settle a scuffle between a man and a lady.

The man was only in a boxer while the lady was clad only in bra and skirt. To Manu's surprise, the man was Femi while the woman was Juliet. Femi and Juliet were the ones causing the hulabaloo. Incredible!

He stood and moved to them.

'I will not agree o,' Juliet was saying. 'Just see the way he slapped me! For what?'

'Did you not slap me back?' Femi retorted. 'Besides, you made me to do it. Why did you refuse to open your leg wide?'

'Was that not the way I've been opening it and you've been doing it before?'

'No. Today, you didn't open it wide enough,' Femi said heteadly. 'And I was not getting value for my money!'

'Alright! Alright!' the manager said. 'Oga, calm down. This matter did not need to degenerate to fighting or exchanging blows. Oga, sebi you and Juliet are friends, you didn't have to fight her now.'

Manu was perplexed. How could Femi and Juliet make a public spectacle of themselves? How could they fight and make public what they should have settled in their closet?

'I wasn't enjoying the whole thing,' Femi said. 'She closed up her thighs and made everything so tight. What is the essence of paying for something I'm not enjoying?'

Manu only shook his head.

On Monday morning, Eddie Laseko was in the house till few minutes to nine. It was unusual of him to remain in the house till that time.

As a successful lawyer in private practice, he normally left for office on working days by seven in the morning. He had lingered a bit this morning because he wanted to take Nnena, his first daughter, to a tutorial college that was recommended by his friend.

Nnena had concluded secondary education and had come out with flying colours. Now, it was time for her to take the joint university admission examination called UTME. She hoped to study Medicine and Surgery, as a science student.

Eddie took the last sip of his coffee and put the cup on the sauce.

'Mary!' he called the house girl.

'Sir,' she answered from the kitchen. She soon came to meet him at the dining table.

'Come and clear this table,' he said. 'Then, call Nnena for me.'

Mary cleared the dining table. Within a minute, Nnena came to join her father in the sitting-room.

'Are you set?' he asked.

'Yes, dad.'

He got up from his seat, picked up his black folder and preceeded Nnena out of the room and flat. They left in his Nissan jeep. Excellento Tutorial College is not very far from his residence. It was a trekkable distance, or at worse, she could take commercial motor cycle popularly called 'okada.'

'I'm sending you to that place to study and learn,' he said as he drove in the early morning traffic. 'I'm not sending you to have boyfriends. So, face the purpose of why you're there.'

She nodded. She was the first of his three daughters aged seventeen, fifteen and twelve respectively. Since their mother passed away about six months ago, after a brief illness, their dad was saddled with both paternal and maternal roles. Thank God they were already grown up.

He soon got to the place he had set out to go.
The security man directed them to the Director's office. Through the open door, Manu could see father and daughter as they made their way to his office.

From the way the man dressed, he knew he was an important man. He would have to be suave with such a person.

Eddie asked about how the college operated. He was told there were two sessions of classes.

'There's morning class and afternoon class,' Manu said.

'The morning class starts by eight and ends two o'clock. The afternoon session begins 3.00 p.m., and ends six o'clock. It depends on the one you want your daughter to attend.'

Manu told him how much was the Admission form and how much would be paid every month. Eddie paid for the form and the fee for the month by
cash.

He rose to go. 'Alright, Nnena, you can always find your way home when you close.' He gave her five hundred naira note. 'Have this.'

He waved her off and went back to his car. From Ojodu, he drove to Ogba where he had his law chamber.

By two o'clock, the morning classes ended. There would be a break of about an hour before the afternoon session would start. From his office,
Manu watched as the students moved to the school gate and trooped out of the college. Most of them had completed their secondary school education and had come either to write UTME or to take GCE examinations. For the fact that it was not a regular school, the students wore mufti.

Clara was one of them. She was already close to twenty-one and had taken the UTME examinations thrice. This time around she had vowed that she must succeed by whatever means. When she first came to register at the tutorial college, she had told Manu about her challenges.

'You have come to the right place,' he had said. 'Apart from the normal teaching and lectures, I can guarantee your success once you can pay
the price.'

'How much?' she had asked.

Manu had laughed. 'The price has no price tag,' he said. 'All you have to do is have some moments of intimacy with me. Once you can do that,
that is all.'

Clara had clouded her face. 'I don't understand.'

'Let's be intimate,' he had said. 'Let me be blunt: let's get close, you know. Let's be lovers. That is all you have to pay.'

She was not exactly surprised that he was making that demand. Normally, she would have spurned his proposition, but this was not a normal
quest. Since she was desperate about what she wanted, she shrugged and acquiesced to his demand. He had taken her to his residence and
they had taken on each other lasciviously. She was one of the numerous ladies he had taken home. At thirty-eight, Manu should be thinking of settling down with a wife and starting a family, but his thinking was not on that. Many of his mates had already settled down to marriage lives.

It was not as if he did not have the financial capacity. Neither was it that he was short of good ladies. Why then had he remained single? For inexplicable reasons, he was not even thinking of it. He was satisfied with sleeping around and did not have marriage in his lexicon.

Whenever some friends or relatives confronted him about marital issue, he would tell them he would settle down in the nearest future. How near that future was, he and others could not tell.

Eddie arrived at his office and set out to work immediately. He would not be going to court today but he had some documents and drafts to work on. Jolade, one of his associates, soon came to his office. While they worked, he could not help thinking about a story he read on an on-line news platform.

In the Life section of the news blog, he had read that there was a Nigerian networking website that could connect men who desired flings with ladies of their choice. The website was to get a relationship established between willing and consenting adults. Eddie had been going to brothels to patronize some sex workers since the death of his wife, but he felt that was not good enough. He needed something more discrete.

As soon as Mrs. Jolade Randle stepped out of his office, Eddie brought out his i-phone. He connected to the internet and visited the dating site.

He filled in some data about himself which included the kind of relationship he sought and the kind of partner. He also supplied his mobile phone number, his WhatsApp number and e-mail address.

He soon had access to the different ladies that were available for his pick. After going through the profile of many of them, he finally picked a sultry, busty lady who called herself Dora. Tentatively, Eddie called her number. She answered after the third ring.

'Hello. Am I on to Dora?' he asked.

'Yes. Who's on the line?'

'The name is Eddie. I saw your profile on Hot 'n Cool connection. I'll like to meet with you.'

'Did you read through our terms?'

He grinned to himself. As a lawyer, was it possible for him to have missed that?

'Yes. The terms are okay by me.'

'Alright. Where and when do we meet?'

He thought briefly. 'There's this small hotel at Toyin Street, Ikeja. It is called Finicky Hotel. Let's meet there by six p.m today. Can you make it?'

There was a brief silence. 'That's no problem. Can you send your pix to this number? This is my WhatsApp number.'

'That will be no problem.'

'One more thing. I only deal in cash.'

He grinned and nodded. 'That'll be no problem.'

Dr. Sabada removed his black jacket and hanged it on the back rest of his swivel, leather chair. It was one of the rare days he would be wearing a jacket. He preferred casual wears. Joe Sabada was a lecturer at the English language department, Lagoon View University, Lagos. At forty, he was still considered young.

He was a brilliant scholar and teacher who could hold his audience spell-bound for hours. Many of his students at the under-graduate school held in awe.

Dr. Sabada however had one flaw: he could not resist anything in skirt. His beautiful wife, having become fed up with his philandering way of life, had called it quits with him. From seductive female students to bewitching sex workers, Joe could not simply hold himself back.

He sat on his chair and thought over some events of the day. So far, Agatha Laseko had told him she would be coming to see him in his office. She was a pretty student in level 300. Agatha had initially rebuffed his amorous advance. It took her a failure in the course he handled, for her to have a rethink.

Now, she said she would be coming over. Joe had spent well over an hour in the office before Agatha came around.

'Good afternoon, sir,' she greeted.

'Yeah.' He grinned at her. 'You're welcome. Sit down. You said you wanted to see me.'

She took one of the seats opposite him. 'Yes, sir. It's about what you told me the other day. I've come to tell you that I've agreed.'

Sabada beamed in smiles. He stood from his chair and went to lock the office door.

'Before, you go further, you need to stand up and take a step back.'

It sounded quite odd, but she did as she was directed.

He examined her critically from head to toe.

'Okay, step forward.'

She moved forward.

He examined her critically from head to toe.
'Okay, step forward.'

She moved forward.

'Open your handbag and bring all the contents out.'

The emptied the bag. Her two phones, books, other writing materials, a handkerchief, make-up kit and sundry things were brought out.

He scanned each item and ensured that the phones were not in audio or video recording mode. He seemed to be satisfied.

'Good. Are you sure you're ready to play ball?' he asked.

'Yes.'

He stared at her and nodded. 'I need a proof from you. And the proof is I want you to strip Unclad. Completely Unclad.' he coed.

Agathy was not surprised by what she was experiencing. From what some of her colleagues had told her, Dr. Joe Sabada was a man of intense passion and kinky sensuous demands.

Slowly, Agatha stripped. She felt embarrased to stand before him in nudity, but his smug look made her to shrug off non chalantly. The way he stared at her body showed that he was pleased with what he saw.

'Alright,' he said finally. 'Let's meet at Lolita Hotel this evening by seven o'clock. Then, I will fully explore the treasure island that I've seen.'

Lolita Hotel was just before the main gate of the university. Only jambite students would claim that they didn't know it.

Agatha nodded and wore her clothes back. She would have to keep that date. She indeed kept it. By quarter to seven p.m., she was at the lobby of the cozy hotel. By six thirty, Joe was already there. He has ordered for a bottle of beer to while away the time. Agatha looked uncertainly around the lobby/ bar when she stepped inside.

Joe quickly beckoned at her. She smiled and came to his table.

'Good evening, sir,' she greeted.
