The issue is why are the people so depressed they even think of suicide

That is what the government should focus on

Workout does things that pushed people to commit suicide. Rather than creating another problem.

Will they also withdraw rat poison and other antiseptics like Dettol and izal which are also harmful if ingested. If someone has made up their minds to kill themselves there's nothing you can do. There are so many ways they can do it.

Not to be sold in an open market and supermarkets.

But then it's still in circulation and maybe it could be bought in hospitals and pharmaceutical outlets, best thing I believe is to discontinue it production.

but on a serious note, sniper needed to be ban since, not because of suicide, but the damaging effect it has on the human body once inhaled or touched (absorbed via skin contact). it meant for professional use (with protective gears) in farming. its has bad has nerve gas used in war. just google

Although there should look for the cause of suicide and try to solve it, at least this is a good step to show they care.
If you were in their position, what will you do anyway?
Stop coming here to rant when you know you can't do anything..instead appreciate the effort .
*Drops mic*
it would have been better u didn't say anything instead of this your rubbish. Do u know that many Nigerians live their lives in depression because they have lost hope in life? Many want to work but no work? Many want to set up businesses but no light? Power distribution charge u estimated bills for energy they didn't supply, customers get arrested for protesting against extortion while govt watch without doing anything? Many Nigerians haven't eaten for some days,no hope for food even today. Many farmers are scared of going to farms because of herdsmen. There are many reasons that cause depression which can lead to suicide. If govt provide solutions to some of these problems, suicide will reduce by almost 98%. Next time close your mouth if u know u wanna spew thrash.

Sniper, is a DDVP, 2,2-Dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate compound, marketed in Nigeria by Swiss-Nigerian Chemical Company, as a synthetic organophosphorus but which many Nigerians have converted to an indoor insecticide.

A person may be exposed to the associated risk of DDVP through inhalation, absorption via the skin, ingestion, and eye contact.

According to CDC, effects of exposure may include irritation of eyes, skin; miosis, ache eyes; rhinorrhea (discharge of thin nasal mucus); headache; chest tightness, wheezing, laryngeal spasm, salivation; cyanosis; anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea; sweating; muscle fasciculation, paralysis, dizziness, ataxia; convulsions; low blood pressure, cardiac irregularity.
