These are more internal challenges and even at that you fell just 7 points off leaders. Your quality is far above anyone and once these internal issues were sorted out there was no stopping you. You can't go through such in Laliga or EPL and still win due to your sorting yourself out (see Mou final season at Chelsea). you'd need to still hope the top teams whose quality(ies) are almost as good as yours if not as good falters and even at that you'd probably just nick a UCL spot or something

By how many points was Man City trailing last season and won?
How many points was Conte trailing when he won the league?

bro, aren't you getting it? those "difficulties" your buddy listed up there are all on you! You are the reason the league was kinda difficult for you. nothing else!

Chelsea could pay to their best and still not win the league. Liverpool had their highest point total last season but still came second. You don't even need to be at your possible best to win your league. if you don't win the league it's on you, you can't point to any external circumstance as reason for your failure. Liverpool last season would feel they did very well but would then say city were just better than them. That's not the case with you. if you lose the league you're the reason nothing else! do I need to keep spelling it out? I understand it's not your fault for being very good or other clubs not being able to compete but trying to make your league win look like it were difficult would only prove you made it difficult for yourselves. what part of this are you finding hard to understand?

20/21 bundesliga season should be won by you. if you don't win it then it would all be on "you".

New superstar for the Bundesliga - SANÉ TO BAYERN IS DONE!

Transfer fee and salary lower than expected

The Bundesliga can look forward to a new superstar!

According to information from Guardiola, the transfer of national player Leroy Sané (24) from Manchester City to FC Bayern is perfect. The dribbling outward striker signs a five-year contract until 2025.

Bayern's chief negotiator and new sports director Hasan Salihamidzic (43) is said to have come up with a super deal that makes sense even in the financially strained Corona crisis.

► Sané costs less than 50 million euros! A year ago, when a change was being negotiated, there was still talk of around 120 million euros. A torn cruciate ligament on August 4, 2019 had prevented the transfer at that time.

► Sané will not become top earner at FC Bayern! He is said to have shown understanding for the difficult situation and to receive significantly less than the 20 million euros per year that were being demanded just a few months ago.

With Sané, Coman and Gnabry, Bayern now has three top outfielders at its disposal and impressively closes the construction site that had been created after Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry had left.

What does the Sané transfer mean for the Champions League?

Bayern cannot rely on Sané in the current competition anyway. Manchester City are said not to have signalled any interest in using him in the return leg against Real Madrid or possible further games, so Sané should be training in Munich in August at the latest and not travelling to Lisbon for the tournament.

With Sané and French top talent Tanguy Kouassi (18/Paris) and the replacement-free Nübel (Schalke), FC Bayern's transfer activities should be over for the time being. Salihamidzic had announced that a top star (Sané) and a top talent (Kouassi) would be coming. Speculations about a transfer of Kai Havertz (21) this summer should have been finally settled.

► According to BILD information, FC Bayern has extended the contracts with the three loan players Philippe Coutinho (28), Ivan Perisic (31) and Álvaro Odriozola (24) by two months. All three players are said to have been prepared to give up 50 percent of their salaries.

Bayern Munich have agreed to buy the Manchester City winger Leroy Sané for about €45m (£40.9m) plus add-ons. The 24-year-old Germany international will sign a five-year deal with the Bundesliga champions.

Looks like Thiago is leaving. He is 29, his last contract.

Though Goretzka is filling for him currently, I am not sure Leon can stay fit for an entire season

Thiago will definitely be a big loss to our team, but if we can keep Alaba, we're still very much stacked in DM/CM.

Kouassi, Tolisso and Cuisance are decent replacement.

Too many replacements. Will also lighten the wage bill. Any takers for 20-30m is good business. He's been very good but he's not irreplaceable.

People like hensben don't know excellence and it bores them. People like him win a few times and get tired.

At Bayern we are elite and never get bored of winning.

Thiago has the skills he can break a press with a feint or dribble but he has a shady injury record he has just been getting fit and if he leaves though a big loss but can be replaced. Thiago leaving might mean we keep Tolliso

Cuisance looks to be going out on loan to France and I will prefer Kouassi to go on loan too. He won't develop on our bench and there is no spot on the field for him yet

Players like Lahm kroos Alaba and Gnabry benefitted from going on loan for a few seasons

Isn't Auba about to win EPL golden booth back to back.

You called Sane a flop, someone that won EPL best Young player of the year. A player with double digits goal and assists for three seasons.

Maybe you're just a troll sha

If Thiago goes Cuisance will definitely see minutes. Goretzka and Tolisso are injury merchants.

Same with Kouassi, we're lacking a natural DM, since Javi has gotten old.

That's why am not really keen on Havertz, our Midfield position is super stacked.

Thoughts on Fein tho, he was awesome on his loan spell at Hamburg.

So Sane would look back at his years at City and will be satisfied like Aguero, Kdb, Sterling?

Sane never scored more than 10 league goals in a season, despite playing for an attacking team like City.

He is an epl flop and can't wait for him to destroy that weak burnthisleaguedown with goals.

Sane was recording double digit goals and double digit assists in the EPL back to back seasons without being the penalty taker of the team

Hidden Hazard spent 7 seasons in the EPL where he was the penalty taker of the team, how many seasons did he have double digits goals and double digit assists

I heard Adrian Fein gave a good account of himself at Hamburg but that was lower league football, do you think he is ready to make the jump to a higher level. Same with Kouassi and Cuisance do you think they are ready

I think Kimmich will be our DM going forward

I think with guys like Sane, Gnabry and Coman we will rely far less on guys like Thiago anyway. Kimmich has transitioned fairly well to midfield anyway so it makes no sense to move Pavard out of the squad just to get Kimmich to play RB (which he has made pretty clear he doesn't want to play there)

What we cannot do is let Thiago walk for free. I would have rather we sold Tolisso but who the hell cares!! We have Sane, Coman, Gnabry and Lewandowski in attack.

I can imagine Davies and Sane on one flank. Defenders will need ventilators by halftime

He is not a great pk taker, that's why. Another neg for him right there. cheesy

Sane never made epl team of the season, but he will get to Germany and destroy it like Batshuayi. grin
