I had a girlfriend during my 200L in the university that when I gave her money she would say "she is not the type that date a guy for his money". But when she later got life exposure, mehn!

She started asking for my pocket money when new semester began and that was the beginning of our problems.

Nigerian men are their own problem. Other African women claim to like Nigerian men because we are 'generous'. We simply like to entice women with money as we feel it covers for all other shortcomings. It's Nigerian men that ended up making Nigerian women love money, the era of nouveau rich (419, drug dealers etc) brought about cheap money and men found out that they could get any girl they want by throwing money at her. It's the same way Lagos rent is crazy expensive because some nouveau rich where able to entice landlords with crazy amount of money just to get a property at all cost. The monster we have created has come back to bite us.

They abound but you have to search deep, high, far and wide. And there is no guarantee that you will find her.

Giving is not the issue here. Making money is one thing and spending it wisely is another. Women who don't like their boyfriends/husbands spend money when they don't make demands are good planners and they make the wealth of their partners increase.

Offended? Y should i be offended because you gave me money? I may not ask you for it but if you give me, I'll not hesitate to grab it. Where I come from, we don't pretend. Besides, Everyone needs money-not only women.

You should want a woman who appreciates the fact that you want to help her out sometimes and not a woman who expects you to.
