What did Ojukwu do wrong? The North has been Nigeria's problem for ages. Oh, you wanted Ojukwu to fold his arms while his people were being massacred by the northern establishment? Did Ojukwu still Nigeria's money? You're just an ani.mal!!!

Ojukwu did the right thing and we will forever hail him for his actions during the war. He is a hero forever.

sad story
Like Adaka boro like saro wiwa. Both were naive men who fought their brothers and got double-crossed by their partners.

Boro first declared ijawland Niger Delta republic against Nigeria. When it was time to help liberate Ijawland during the civil war, he joined Fulani federal forces and fought against Biafra and Ijawland liberation, and got killed by men of his own division.

Saro wiwa fought against Biafra and was even said to have benefited from an "abandoned property" with a certain sani abacha after the war. Decades later, the development eluded his people, ogoni land and the entire Niger delta suffered from over exploitation without commensurate effort to invest in the area. He belatedly realised his folly, fought against damage of ogoniland and ended up being hung by same Abacha.

Today ogoniland and Niger delta remain a mess. lessons must be learnt from there sad story. There is no benefit in betrayal.

Only Biafra can bring glory to ogoniland, Niger delta and entire Eastern region.
I don't even want them to be part of us when Biafra is actualized. Let them have their Niger Delta Republic before they'll start crying foul again. It's better that way.

He was an author & environmental activist who spoke against the environmental degradation perpetrated in ogoni land by the oil companies in collusion with a govt that was insensitive to the plight of farmers & fishermen of Ogoni land.

How do this constitute war, Hausa/Fulani will die for the oil that was not discovered on their land cause they want to live like Arabia but no single brain in their head. Shm.......... nonsense illiterate people

He only obeyed orders from the president.

If you know the atrocities Maj. Obi committed in Ogoni land you will understand it was beyond taking orders from his boss.
For his (Obi) deadly military operations in Ogoni a camp was opened in Benin Republic for fleeing Ogonis. Over a thousand of
them were granted political asylum in the United States from that camp.
It was a case of Nigerian state killing her citizens, it's even more painful that such inhuman operations was headed by a southerne/Igbo man.

This Write up is relevant at this time considering the fact that the same old demon of marginalization and ethnic division by multinational oil companies in collaboration with Government is stirring it's ugly head once again in Ogoni Land.

Maj. Obi retired a General in the Army.
He's the elder brother to Gov. Umaiah of Ebonyi state.
He's an enemy of the Niger Delta!
You lack sense! Are Umahi and Obi the same surname? Stop saying what you don't know. Major Obi is not Gov. Umahi's brother. Major General Umahi is Gov. Umahi's brother, not Major Obi. Niger Deltans are their own enemies. Saro Wiwa supported Nigeria against Biafra. In the end, he reaped what he sowed. Under Biafra, Ogoni people wouldn't have been marginalized. He chose to dine with the devil. Even today, the major opposition to Jonathan's administration came from Niger Deltans such as Keyamo, Sagay, Amaechi, etc. Leave Igbos alone!

“People should ask themselves what is preventing the real Buhari's family, Aisha in particular, from suing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for libel, slander and defamation in his weighty declarations after declarations that Mohammadu Buhari is dead and replaced by an impostor? She has the connections and resources to institute almighty litigations against Mazi Kanu if truly Buhari is alive. That alone would truncate the mission of IPOB forever. Where's her courage of conviction in proving that the man in Aso Rock is her husband?”
Nnamdi Kanu is not in hiding. He tours the world in his pursuit for Biafra. So you can't call him a faceless accuser. The cold silence from from the first family goes to underscore Kanu's position about Buhari's demise. If Kanu was just yapping, what could have given him the temerity to order IPOB members to be hunting for jubril for international disgrace? EZIOKWU NA AKWU OTO.”

The answer is simple. when you wrestle with a pig, you both get dirty. But the pig enjoys it. Buhari will not give your pig that pleasure.

The Gov. Of Ebonyi state once stayed with him in Portharcourt around Oilmill area.

Saro WiWa was a Nigerian military soldier against the Biafran side during the Civil War.

I don't think he was.

What I do know for a fact that he participated in confiscating and sharing Igbo properties in PH.
I also knew he was part of a civilian Militia that went about identifying Igbos to the Nigerian Army after the capture of PH. Most of the Igbos that he help finger out were summarily executed by the Nigerian Army.

The most ironic twist to all this is that the occupying Hausa/Fulani officers and soldiers could not differentiate between an Ijaw from an Igbo or a Kalabari from an Ikwere and so needed the help of people like Ken to point out Igbos in their midst. To the average Hausa/fulani back then and now, there is no difference between the Niger Delta tribes and Igbo.

Saro-wiwa was hanged.

What are you saying? That he was killed by acid?

The pouring of acid on executed prisoners was the norm back then.

They did same for Annini.

I believe even up till this day, the Nigerian govt does not release the corpse of executed inmates to their family members but will bury them on prison grounds. The acid was used to accelerate decomposition and ensure the condemned died.

Don't know if still in practice as there is an unofficial moratorium on state executions.

Apart from that satanic dwarf, Oshiomile, who signed the death warrants of 11 condemned prisoners, no other civilian governor since 1999 is willing to sign death warrants.
