Is Anambra State University on strike now? If you had bothered to do any kind of research you’d have found out that he ended up settling with ASUU members and clearing their arrears! What else can you dig up chief? grin

I can put my life to this, you have not been to any South East state talk more of Anambra to know it's a village. I serve in Anambra state.

Your life must be worthless to bet it on such an infantile assumption. I have been to Awka, I was there for a friend's wedding in a village not far from the Capital. I was expecting to see a much developed city but in reality, there's was little difference between the village where the wedding took place and Awka itself. We drove to Awka many many times to use the AMT and for other things that we could not find in the village.
Our host was a gentleman with a huge mansion in the village and it seems like everyone bow down to him even the those that are older than him (this will bever happen in Yoruba land regardless of your wealth). I was there for a whole week before flying back to Lagos. There was no airport at that time in Awka at that time (not sure of that now) hence we had to drive to I think Enugu for our flight back, I even met Osofia ( The Actor) on the flight.

We all know Peter Obi is chasing clouts with non existing figures. Yes, Nigeria needs change, but we can't have that on grounds of deceit.

We need jobs and security in Nigeria. What did Peter Obi do in those regards as Governor. Let the conversation start from there

Lol you have access to a phone and internet, educate yourself a bit sir

Throwback:
We have said it that a stingy fellow like Obi cannot grow anything.

He will grind everything to a halt.

Even his supporters expressed the same fears about a Buhari presidency in 2015 on this very forum.

Obi is a fig tree that cannot bear fruit.

Look at state IGR below during the same period Obi was Anambra Governor.

It is a shame that states like Edo and Kogi had a far better growth than Anambra that claims to have "3 Cities".

Peter Obi is a rock, things only grow on fertile sand.
Your liberal fellow and government has in collaboration with ASUU a after squandering our money on elections and rigging kept our children at home for months now. The heartless ASUU thought that by collaborating with the APC government to install them into power will be rewarded handsomely not knowing that they have collected their own National cake the forgot the All Promises Counseled

Don't remember the name of the village, the year was 2008. Agunji village? Not sure. The host had a huge mansion with tennis court and swimming pool. While at the wedding I quickly noticed how everyone was bowing down to the rich guys especially my host. I was sitting very close to him hence I saw the whole tradition and how rich people are treated.
Hey, every tradition have their own pluses and negatives but the way you guys treat those with money is very un African. Grown old men almost kissing the foot of rich young guys, that will never happen in Yoruba land. (A rich young man in Yoruba land will get some respect but not almost worshiped like a god regardless of your wealth. elders will not bow to you even if you are Elon Musk)
And especially the way Igbos online talk about others worshiping their leaders, you will never think that just having money in Igbo land alone makes you a god. I have an Igbo friend who explained to me that what I saw is normal in Igbo land.
He said that's why Igbo men will do anything for money because if you don't have money, you are nothing in the community. And with money, you are king even the elders will bow.

Still doesn’t make the news fake. It’s not unusual for the link to expire after 12 years. If the story is about Tinubu, you won’t be so concerned about the link.

The entire south east, even though I am not from South East, I doubt if you Know the environment more than I do

I have been visiting Anambra state long before Obi became a Gov. Till this moment, nothing has changed safe for the flyovers constructed by Willie at Aroma and Unizik junction.
The hometown of Obi, Agulu has remained a ghost village. The roads Obi constructed when he was a Gov at Nnewi by bank roads, all have been washed away. Few months, I was in Anambra from Ogidi, Idemili, Akwuzu, Onyeagu, Awka roads, Limca by People's club/ Obosi all have been turned to major dumpsites.
Obi can't win a local Govt election in Kano state or Lagos state if he was to be judged by his performance as a former Governor

grin Now I know you’re just here capping, there is no place like Agunji in the whole of Anambra not to talk of the East as a whole lmao. And as for the money part, yes I know we can be capitalistic but don’t use the experience of less than 1% of the population of a tribe to generalize unless you have proof. I can personally point you to Igbo families I know who are some hidden billionaires but despite their wealth three of those families have been labeled as “Osus” from the time of their grandparents, why didn’t they use their money to influence those decisions then? If money was so important why couldn’t Arthur Eze or Cosmas Maduka, both billionaires in USD buy kingship titles in their state? What you described might have happened but that is very far from my culture and whoever did that is just plain shameless. Thank you for your contribution sha

I already told you that I don't remember the name of the village, that was many years ago. That's what it sounds like to me if I try to remember the name.
What I witnessed has been confirmed by my Igbo friends as the norm in the SE. I also witnessed this over a period of about a week not just on one day. I also had an Igbo man that was one of the contractors I had hired many years ago while building my first house in Lagos. I noticed that he didn't go home for xmas, I asked him why and he said basically the same thing. He told me that if he doesn't have the kind of money he's expected to have made in Lagos, he ain't going home. I was shocked, because this was a guy that was doing very well financially as of then. He's skill was very much in high demand and was making good money in Nigerian context.
