I'm unable to respond where you are actually posting which is a little one sided. I can't say that I'm pleased to hear your experience in my absence but this is one of the reasons why I insist on offering a warranty. If you could please DM me your invoice number I'd like to know which tech worked on your Ford as we work on all sort of cars from budget to premium and I want to run a quality control audit.

If the compressor and brake pads were Carquest products that failed I still maintain that they are under warranty (the brakes especially for 2 years) and will be replaced at no cost to you. The AC compressor is also under warranty for one year IF you purchased the full kit, same as our US stores. if they were not Carquest products and third party -which some customers opt for in an attempt to save as our parts do come at a premium due to exchange rates-then I can't speak to those parts. And if they were third party products at some point someone must have cautioned about that.

I understand you came from a considerable distance and that's a factor. If you are willing to bring it back in, I will make sure that it is looked at in a timely matter. If they are Carquest products and you are not satisfied with your purchase, bring them back and I will extend you a partial refund for your trouble. Without knowing what happened in my absence I think this is a fair compromise and hope that it will be of some comfort to you.

Good morning ma'am


I just go a Nigerian used Toyota Camry and it was very ok until I noticed it doesn't accelerate above 100kph after like 4hours of driving, have done the scanning and nothing is showing to be wrong with the car but a mechanic is saying the car is having small engine that can't go above that after a particular period. I'm just confused, is there anything like small V4 engine?, Can this possibly be fixed?

That person should hand their wrench in and stop calling themselves a mechanic right now smh. Without seeing the car it sounds like a transmission, catalytic converter or fuel problem. Bring it in so we can tell you once and for all. Diagnosis is free and you can also choose to use your own parts.

On a serious note, some comments on Instagram @radautoworks said that the owner was better off selling the car with the damage to the top gasket. Well as you can see, a blown top gasket does not mean having to replace your engine if your auto repair shop techs know what they're doing. Afterall the person buying it is going to fix it right? 🤷🏾‍♀️

Oh and the job came with a 6 month warranty.
