What a business myopia! Multinational company with international operations should limit its marketing advert to local media. What a shame. A modern and newest marketing myopia emerging from Nigerian brain. Levitt (1960) and Craig et al (2010) should write a new review in Harvard Business Review on this sham! 1 Like |

It is either Bode George is getting extremely old and completely out of touch or he is just simply being unreasonable.. FYI: Globacom also operates heavily in Ghana and also has partnership relationships with other telecommunication organizations around the world eg: Tmobile. How can Glo reach other customers or potential customers if they only focus on advertising their products or services on Lagelu FM or Amuludun FM or Fresh FM? What a backward/ expired state of mind! |

Apart from bragging rights, that Glo advert has no reason being on CNN. A Chinese man coming into Nigeria for the first time already has his business cut out for him. His embassy advises on how where to bank his money not adverts helinues: |

Be educated. Glo's service is not limited to call and data, na. That's yam and beans reasoning. They have intercontinental cable that delivers traffic from the Western World to West Africa. They have potential customer in companies that do trans-atlantic call cards, among others. 1 Like |

Bode George is a politician who knows very little or nothing about business. Does Bode George know that these people get foreign loans, at single digit interest rate, to run their businesses? Exposure on foreign media gives the brands a boost in the above regard as foreign financial institutions know and reckon with the brands via such int. media exposure. before carrying out other necessary checks. 1 Like 1 Share |

All the listed companies have businesses outside Nigeria. CNN cuts across borders so the adverts may be useful. |

WHAT A DUMMY! Dangote, Zenith and Globacom are MULTINATIONALS who do business in several other countries. Furthermore, they are trying to build a global brand that would resonate with foreigners coming into Africa. > |
