has anyone else tried to use the "check your eligibility" tool in the last 24hours? getting an error page each time I click on it or is it possible to create your express entry profile without the Reference code?

Thanks alot I will check page 1 to gather further information. Please can you help me with the exact links on the CIC immigration page or pages, ABEG!!!!!

In regard to payment, since it's a family business I don't have payment slips to tender. Is it possible to receive a one-off payment for my years of service?

What other ways can I use to prove the issue of payment slips apart from a bank statement or a cash certificate?

And in case you get more information abeg please share with me.
To be honest, I don't know about the payment thing. It's very dicey. Try Candavisa.com ask the question on their forum.
For the links, just google it. Whatever link you click must have canada.ca in it to ensure you're not clicking one of those funny immigration sites.

@carissaa

Please I’m trying to fill the form for UK PCC online, I can’t go past personal information unless I input details for driving license number which I didn’t have when in the UK.

How do I go about it?
I actually used my Nigerian License o. Does it say it must be a UK license?

Selecting them only means that if the province opens up for their PNP program, they can send you a notification/letter of interest depending on what they are looking for , not like you get forcefully sent to a province.

Why Canada?

I have had family and friends relocate abroad but never really considered it cuz I had previously lived abroad during MSc. and didn’t stay back due to some reasons. My wife as well had no abroad leanings beyond vacations.
Working in Nigeria wasn’t easy; came close to a number of big jobs but didn’t get selected at final AC stage. The “small” companies I worked for had issues paying salaries on time or at all. I quit my job, archived my CV and focused on building my business in Nigeria. However, an issue that rendered me immobile (unable to make money too) for some days, made me realize the benefits of a country that considers the healthcare and welfare of its citizens paramount (go NDP!).

What Canada?

ECA:
WES was a breeze for me due to abroad MSc. I didn’t include my Nigerian degree. 21st, July – 17th Sep, 2018. My wife’s own took much longer cuz of Naija factor but we didn’t use it in the end cuz points were enough. My kid didn’t do at all cuz points were enough.

IELTS:
I already posted my IELTS story in part 5 . 29th Sept, 2018 – L 9, R 9, S 8, W 7.5. My wife didn’t write cuz points were enough. My kid didn’t write cuz kids don’t listen.

ITA v1:
We got our first ITA on Oct 29th, 2018 but rejected it cuz I had to use POF for business.

Medical v1:
We had our medicals on Nov 8th, 2018. Mine went smoothly. During our doctor interview, I mentioned my asthma history while my wife told him about her thyroid gland history. He said hers wasn’t an issue according to the system/software but he would double-check and get back to us. The waiting period was filled with anxiety. The next day, the nurse called to inform us that we passed. My kid did his medicals…yeah! finally contributing when points are not being taken.

ITA v3: April 17th, 2018.

POF:
It took a while to return to our account. Pls blame my clients, they are not alright…all right.
We had our funds in a joint (just my wife and I...my kid wasn’t happy about being excluded cuz he definitely contributed money) Stanbic Mutual Funds account. I logged in and printed our account statement in PDF, combined it with the scanned letter from Stanbic.

NOC:
Initially selected 2147 based on my previous job titles, but when I read the rules and found out that job role trumps trudeaus job title, I switched to 2281. My former offices owed it to me (literally and financially) to “follow my advice” on how to structure the letters.

LoE:
My letter was 63 pages long…attached docs inclusive oh. I explained every document uploaded in placeholders and attached to the LoE.
Major explanations:
i- POF: I felt I had to explain the source of POF cuz it came in bulk few days after/before ITAv3. I attached statements from my company account, CAC docs, biz docs (Purchase Orders, Contracts, etc.)
ii- Wife’s name: My wife had been using a shortened version of her name on ALL her official documents except her birth certificate which has the spiritual version. Her change of name after marriage was from her shortened version to her current name.

When Canada?

AOR/Post AOR:
May 27th, 2019
The wait was pretty chill for me as I have previously handled visa applications all by myself. I registered on immitracker and saw people going green in 69 days…we started praying for a speedy conclusion. grin
My wife occasionally asked for updates…but the frequency increased towards the end of 2019 as we needed to plan 2020.
My kid didn’t ask for updates at the beginning…neither at the middle nor the end. I’m beginning to suspect he doesn’t know what’s going on.
I joined the April/May AOR WhatsApp group around this time.
Our account was pretty uneventful till our medical expired Nov 8th 2019…ghost update. I read some people’s stories on canadavisa forum where they got their medicals extended so we were hopeful.
On Nov 10th, my wife gave birth to another kid who is also enjoying points he didn’t contribute to. We raised a CSE the following day etc (see timeline). IOM was kind enough to schedule us for the baby’s medical a day after baby’s passport was ready. I made a mistake when signing the IMM0008 form so we got an ADR for it. Baby’s UCI was ready on Dec 7th.
Medical v2 (entire family excluding new baby) requested on Dec 10th. MEPv2 on Dec 19th.
Got an ADR for updated POF even though I included it when uploading docs in response to ADR for Baby.
We received the PPR email on Jan 3rd, 2020.

How Canada?

Will find out after landing. cool

We are saying a big thank you to all those that answered our questions and pointed us in the right direction. We appreciate all the positive messages in response to my application status updates. We pray everyone’s PR dream is fulfilled.

God bless!

Hi Nairalanders,

Please grab a bottle of coke and a cup of popcorn as I am about to tell my story.

I took my time to write this just to encourage someone. Always remember that there is a light at the end of every tunnel.

Decision to travel:
I heard about express entry from my sister that stays in Canada early 2017. She went as a student and after a while, she called all her siblings to advise us to relocate. I was like “I am not a fan of obodo oyibo.” She practically begged me to give it a trial but I refused. Fast forward to some months later, I got a new car. A week after I got the car, we all got a mail in my office about a salary increase. The following day, I overheard my boss telling my colleague that “for Jayne to be driving a car like that, she doesn’t need the money I pay her”. Out of curiosity, I decided to check everyone’s salary after the increment (I had access to such information as I was the third in command in the company). Guess what!! 20k - 30k was added to everybody’s salary and just 5k was added to mine. This means that even the receptionist was earning more than me. I got home and cried myself to sleep and dreamt about Canada. I woke up the next day and called my sister.

WES:
My evaluation made immigration look easy. Everything was so smooth that in less than 2 months, I got my BSC and MSc evaluated.

IELTS:
This one showed me the bitter side of express entry but gave me a testimony at the end.
I took my first IELTS early last year. I scored 8.5, 6.5, 7,7.5 LRWS- BC
I wrote a second time and scored 7.5, 9.0,7,7.5 LRWS - IDP. Then they were using speakers and it wasn't clear. I even complained after the test but nothing was done. Then the 3rd 8.5, 7.5,6.5,7.5 - IDP. I applied for an EOR but it came out negative. Then the 4th 8.5,8.5,6.5,8.0 LRWS - IDP. I applied for an EOR again but it came out negative. Then the 5th, I missed this one because my passport was with an embassy, I wanted to reschedule but BC chop witch with the excuse that the time was short hmmmm. Then the 6th 9,7.5,5.5,7.5 LRWS-BC. I was so embarrassed. How can a freelance writer have a score like this in writing? I never told anyone about my score except my friend who encouraged me. I later realized my mistake; we were asked to write a letter to a colleague, I wrote a semi-formal formal letter instead of an informal letter. I learnt my lesson. Then the 7th, 8.5,8.5,6.5,8.0 - LRWS- IDP. I was pained because I really prepared for the writing. A voice within me kept telling me to remark but I was just giving excuses. One day, something happened that made me cry to the extent of asking myself what was holding me back in this country. I downloaded the EOR form and was completing it with tears in my eyes. I made a mistake and circled reading instead of writing. I tried reprinting the form but my printer stopped working. I decided to circle both reading and writing after which I made the necessary payment and submitted.
On 24th of April, I got an email to come and pick up my TRF. I contacted IDP and requested that they courier it to my address. I later got an email requesting that I pay for the courier service, and also sign and complete the fund refund form. I was confused, I contacted them again and asked how long it was going to take for me to get the result and they said between 5-10 working days. How do they expect me to wait that long? The following day being the 25th of April, I traveled to the state were I took the exam (I actually left before daybreak). When I got the IDP office, I was told that there was a mix-up somewhere and my result was sent to Port Harcourt. Why can't my village people just let me be?
Meanwhile, I had already registered for another test in Kano with IDP. I traveled back to my base to prepare for my journey to Kano the following day. While on my way to Kano on the 26th, I got a call from IDP to come for my result. I told the lady that I can't make it to Abuja that day and I can't wait for their "5-10 working days" to get my result. She said I should send an email to that effect to IDP and copy her so that she can follow it up. She promised to courier the result that day assuring me that I was going to get it the following day. I made the payment - N5450.
Nevertheless, I took the exam in Kano and went back to my base on the 27th hoping to see my new IELTS score, unfortunately, the result was not delivered hmmmm.
Fast forward to Monday, around few minutes to 2:00, I got a call that a package was just delivered from DHL, omo, with the speed of light, I rushed and collected the package and went into my car. I prayed and opened it, the unbelievable scores were just staring at me LRWS- 8.5, 9,7,8. I couldn't control the tears from my eyes, I lifted my hands and praised God. He has given me a testimony, an unbelievable one.
The perfect Easter gift from my father.
I quickly updated my profile and was swimming in the pool with CRS 475 when ITA came knocking in the next draw.

ITA:
I got ITA on the 1st of May, 2019. And the process of gathering the documents started.
Medicals was done in IOM Abuja two weeks after we got the ITA.
PCC: this was done in my state of residence. Hot 30k for me and my spouse.
POF: Na this one be the koko. During the process of writing IELTS, we decided to invest our funds on landed properties. So when ITA came, we tried to sell them but the devil and the economy decided to harden the heart of prospective buyers. Two weeks to the expiration of my ITA, I saw that we were not making any progress with the selling of properties, I pick-up my phone and called my first love – Dad. I explained everything to him and he told me and I quote “I am ready to give up everything I have for you to have a better life.” Before I ended the call, I got a credit alert from my father- 100% gift deed. He drafted a gift deed, got an affidavit for the gift and also sent the data page of his passport. I uploaded all these documents.

AOR:
I got AOR on the 28th of June. I submitted late because of my POF but God did it for us.
We got a request for biometrics and did that on the 31st of July 2019 and then the wait began.
I decided not to let the wait get to me by stressing myself out. I worked on weekdays and learnt hair dressing on weekends. So, I never had the time to check my profile. I never knew my VO until ……………..

ADR:
On the 20th of November I decided to check my spam and noticed that IRCC sent an email requesting that we upload a new passport as the current one was going to expire in 6 months. We were given just 7 days to submit meaning that we had just 5 days. We travelled to about 4 states in search of passport and ended up getting it in Minna, Niger state. We uploaded the passports immediately, two days to the expiration of the ADR phewwwww.

PPR:
I decided to take a course on mind building hmmm. One of the things that was advised was that we should limit our phone usage. Mumu me decided that I was not going to do anything with my phone except to answer calls. On the 27th of November, I couldn’t resist any more so I decided to check my mails. Immediately I opened it, the “Ready the visa mail caught my eyes”
I danced and cried like never before. It has actually ended in praise.
I submitted on the 3rd of December and on the 24th, I got a passport collection text message from VFS Abuja. My God always know the perfect gift for me.
I collected our passports yesterday, 27th of December to the Glory of God.

I read WES is very slow about evaluation here and that ICES is better but i got information which is directed to the Africans trying to evaluate "Due to an extreme increase in evaluation requests from Africa, ICES can no longer meet the completion target of 20 weeks"

Please who use ICES recently? and which is better for now Wes or ICES?

People also say here that WES is requesting for Waec... But i cant find that info on their page again, is it that they have changed the rules again?

I also read about using candaian address to receive after verification where would i get that?

Finally somone should please help us with pdf study materials for IELTS? Please lets follow ur foot step to 8777 cry cry

WES doesn't require WAEC anymore, their timeline is the fastest

Good afternoon house, I'm new here, still on the stage of IELTS. Pls I need your contribution on these pls:
1. Writing IELTS with BC or IDP, which one is more advisable to go with.
2. Which of the skills more difficult and require more practice, some people say it's reading and writing.

Thanks a lot, your response is appreciated

Either one will work.
But an advantage of BC is if you have practiced very hard and are confident that your results dont reflect your ability, a remark would cost 15k. While a remark with IDP is about 48k. Of course if your score changes, you will be refunded.
I used BC for my test and it was very organised, individual headphones (not speakers) and there wasn't really a crowd. Still awaiting my 15k refund.

I’d say you need to practice all as much as you can. I think the writing might need a bit more because you can't get the answers while practicing, unlike reading and writing. Use IELTS Jay and IELTS Liz on YouTube for writing practice and you will do well.

RealVictor:
Good afternoon house, I'm new here, still on the stage of IELTS. Pls I need your contribution on these pls:
1. Writing IELTS with BC or IDP, which one is more advisable to go with.
2. Which of the skills more difficult and require more practice, some people say it's reading and writing.

Thanks a lot, your response is appreciated
