Every group that answers the name "Yoruba" admit that they have one progenitor and they speak a local variant of the general Yoruba language, from Egba to Ondo. Were Yorubas always united? No. There was constant civil war amongst the various sub ethnic groups. But did they ever deny that they weren't from Ile-Ife or that Oduduwa was their progenitor? No.

Second, tagging a whole people deceitful or implying that ”many of them still are" shows your bias in full glare. I believe the words "deceitful" and "betrayer" which a particular tribe in Nigeria always use as a prop whenever they want to insult the Yorubas is as a result of the civil war.

My only response to them and probably to you also in case you fall in that same category is to look to your immediate past history. Don't look too far. Also, look at the present crime situation of Nigeria and make your judgement.

While no race is made up of only angels, I dare say those pointing fingers at others wouldn't do so of they have any iota of shame in them.
