Princeofilorin: This 4 u [flash=640,385] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yup1lPeiK9Q?fs=1&hl=en[/flash] iPhone I is for the Instant Grat, the need to know right off the bat who won the game, which e-mails came. It might not end up being the same as last time, or the time before. I'll check again, just to be sure. P is for the Paucity of life inside the battery, which every other smartphone tops. It drops and drops and never stops. It lasts for hours, just as long as I don't turn the power on. H is for the Hours in line, with nothing 'round to pass the time. Brav'd summer rains and standing pains and made imperceptible gains, to make obs'lete one July day, the model which I'd bought in May. O comes twice after the one when ev'ry billing period's done. That's ten times ten, again, again, and all completely worth it when I have my weather stats supplied without the need to peek outside. N is for No Internet, which is often what I get, under shadow, roof, and sky, in subways low and buildings high, and anywhere I vainly try. Except that myth'cal 3G Zone With room to fit me and my phone. E is for the Endless apps, which bring about with simple taps everything that Apple hawks. I check the time on foreign clocks, and I could eas'ly track my stocks, if I hadn't racked up debt, financing Steve Jobs' private jet. When strung together, not alone, these letters six spell out IPHONE. And Apple, Apple, burning dim, on some base and capricious whim, released this fearful acronym. Despite it all, I'll need to get a life Before queuing again for Version five. |

@na2day: Nice rhymes man. U should write poetry for a living. As for android phones, I will get one eventually cos the really good ones are too expensive (for me) and the affordable ones are not appealing at all. So for now I'll stick with nokia and their affordable smartphones which aren't too bad. |

abioila: Even Nokia knows that their symbian and Nokia N8 is no match for ios and Android. There's a reason why Nokia classes the N8 as a MIDRANGE phone. |

Man as if 1ghz processor wasn't enuf its much faster now n battery life better with extra cool settings, Only I can't get an ota firmware update to 2.2. Am currently on 2.1, but who cares, cyanogen rom Is kool, My next hack to use desire rom, n make these 2 run side by side, N yes for android users do download Adv task killer, that also helps in extending battery life, Also have put the apn settings for mtn but can't browse, is this a generaal thing with HTC users or can someone help me out on this, |

Every operating system has their own advantage. Android is open ended every Dick and Harry phone manufacturer can manipulate it to their own use. Blackberry is closed ended that is why Virus cannot have access to it. |

I posted on this thread before but it seems, the administrator had other ideas, or was uncomfortable with my contributions. In any case, I hope this one stays. I use the Desire. It's a very fine piece of wonder. Before then, I used Nokia all my life. I must say, I enjoy my Desire thoroughly. I'm not however impressed with the android open-endedness. I'm still dreaming of that day when Nokia shall combine the robustness of their hardware to the simplicity of the OS, iphone or android-styled. That would ne the bomb. For peeps who had issues with battery, I'd advice you go for the JuiceDefender app, instead of Advanced Task Killer. ATK consumes more batter that it is designed to to conserve. The defender on the other hand, runs and demobilizes tasks especially, when the phone is idle. |

Re: Android, Anyone? by Maximip(m): 11:03pm On Nov 16, 2010 |
abioila: Cool down, no need to get bitter about this little discussion. You know, you can't really conclude on these things without using them. You can't also say an unreleased OS is better than an already existing one. I read lots and lots of reviews trying to choose between Android and Iphone. I finally decided on the android and I've not experienced any of the issues, problems, flaws I read about. If the hardware is right, you can usually find an application to do what you think is missing. I'm not saying what you said is not correct but tell us why you say so. Maybe you know something that we don't. |
Re: Android, Anyone? by texazzpete(m): 11:25pm On Nov 16, 2010 |
abioila: Seriously, if you can't type in plain English, just STFU. Reading through your post is extremely frustrating. As far as symbian is concerned, most of those apps you're proud of are hopelessly outdated, look extremely dated and are clunky as hell. Not to mention that there are apps for pretty much everything on the iOs and Android application stores. Symbian is in serious decline. Deal with it. 1 Like |
