Yes, it's no secret that I have used my phone to write more than 20 books. This is to say, having a phone is a great thing.

Now, here is the bad side of it. Despite how productive and focused you are in life, there are some weeks you can't achieve anything even if you try.

You'll be glued to your phone — pressing, chatting, watching silly comedy videos on YouTube, or worse porn, and burning MB for nothing.

This has happened to me (except the porn side) and I'll tell you the solution.

It is believed that every wise youth has a laptop (even if it's fairly used), a small phone, a big phone, and a modem.

If you're above 20 and you don't have the things I listed above, but you've spent more than 50k on women or to buy frivolous things just to impress a woman, paid sex, or in gambling, then you're not serious with your life. You better change NOW or you'll regret.

So, since your phone is the cause of your laziness, password it, turn it off, and send it to a trusted friend or relation in the same town with your modem to keep for you for a week or a month.

Now, come back home with your small phone which doesn't have access to the internet and see how productive you'll be with your laptop, your pen, and your paper. When there was no internet, people were still surviving. Weren't they?

You'll open Photoshop and design all the things you've been procrastinating. You'll watch those video tutorials you downloaded, but haven't watched, you'll read or listen to those audio books you downloaded, and you'll start and finish a book or a project you've been procrastinating in your house.

Having access to the internet 24/7 causes laziness and at the same time, encourages criminality. You may not know this, but it's true.

I have used this method of depriving myself access to the net for some days to achieve great things. While going through this phase of "No access to internet," all the important things I was supposed to do with the internet, but never did will start popping up and I'll write them down with a pen and a paper.

The moment I get access to the internet, those things I wrote down are the FIRST things I'll do and achieve. With this technique, I become extra-productive.

Note: to do this technique, make sure you don't have movies or porns in your laptop, else you'll keep watching one of them compulsively and end up not being productive. Also, ignore TV or football. I don't watch movies, TV, and I don't have porn in my system, so this makes the process smooth.

I still use this technique till this day, and I assure you, it works like magic. You'll be ahead of your colleagues who are obsessed with their phones, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. if only you can do this.

When most people wake in the morning, the first thing they reach out for is their phones to check messages, but with this method, you'll wake and feel empty for not seeing your phone. This emptiness is training you to refocus your mind to being productive with your time and depending on internet to be happy.

Getting rid of your main phone while using your small phone which can't access the internet for a while may be all you need to become productive and escape the bondage Zuckerberg, nairaland, or Google has put you in.

Whenever I'm being less productive, I always do this and the outcome has changed my life for good.

I totally agree with u boss. My phone got spoilt for like 2 months now and I couldn't access WhatsApp throughout. I only access Facebook with laptop with WiFi and not Everytime because I have to be at the WiFi location to use it. What I realised was during the period I became more rich in my mind and I just got a new phone . And only kick-starting putting my brainstormed ideas into action

In Africa, most people prefer option 2. Those who choose option 1 with a great mentor always end up as successful millionaires or billionaires.

Those who chose option 2 always hate on those who chose option 1.
