Daaaammmnn.! ! And these guys think it's a joke to say it to anyone they meet.
I'm telling you, I learnt an important lesson that day.

This only happened once. I've heard it so many times ever since and I wonder why people just let people say that and walk away as if it's nothing. I get triggered from hearing people say it to each other.

I've also put in place measures to make sure my girl doesn't use it on me. Because I noticed it might come to that point one day.

There are some curses people shouldn't accept especially when this same statement is coming from so called men of God using the same sentence.

When elders talk you shouldn't be talking.

You need to learn manners.

Why do yorubas like using this sentence. Do you know what it means to say this?

Why would anyone allow someone say this and walk away saying this to him or her.

I once destroyed (let me use that word) a stranger once for using this statement at a bus station, and bystanders said it was just a normal saying. What is so normal to tell someone If them born am well

I'm trying to stop my girlfriend who's a Yoruba girl from making this statement. She has never said to me and I've told her the day she does it I'm going to do something to her and I mean it. I've made her understand that she'll be drawing a very big line when she says that to me.

Yesterday she came over, I asked her how was the cold?
She said it was too much, I told her I bathed cold water and what about her.... She said "who born me? (Referring to herself).

This is wrong, I have heard preachers... So called man of God saying things about Enemies saying "they no born am well" on TV. (and the members answered amen)
I lost my respect for him at once, never went back .

I'm not from the West but I believe people need to control what they say, how they say it, and when. They curse people a lot on that side, how does someone survive by bringing out curses everyday from their belly?

Why would anyone accept that sentence from anyone except they didn't give birth to the person properly? Or are people from there suffering from a low self esteem. You should know the people you use this statement on, because if they aren't from your place i.e yorubaLand. They might react and put you in real danger.

Have you used this word before? Why do you use the word?
You are psychotic and you will soon kill someone if you are not treated.

Knowing who you're messing with will help you.

Why are people saying something is wrong with me when I see that there's something wrong with people using this sentence If them born you well?

Yes, I use it often. I am constantly saying dem never born the Fulani who would forget they are guests and start terrorising my Orolu Kingdom. It is not a threat, but a statement of fact that dem born dem well which is why they would not forget. See below.

Your girlfriend saying "who born me" is not a curse either. She's just saying she was not born with the string balls that you were that makes you do what she can't do. Though my mama would slap that "can't" out of her mounth, lol.

Please stop! I, am a farmer. My land is close to water where grass grows so cattle rearers come there to fatten their cattle. They even come on my land and eat my cassava, so this is not something I need to read lazy anecdotal reports in newspapers to know anything about!

Just think. These cattle rearers have to move their cattle around in our villages and through our farms. Do you seriously think Yoruba people are so spineless that we will know that these same herdsmen are kidnapping and raping our people and we would not enter bush that is on our land and go and do festival with them and their cattle? Does that not make you wonder, or do you think we are so afraid of dying?

You will recall that I called you to this thread specifically because of our discussion regarding work. And I've mentioned corruption in our own individual understanding of things, and corruption in our own actions. Corruption in our understanding is when we have not been sceptical enough and claim that things we know barely nothing about are true. And work is what we do when it is said that we have used our heart and soul and mind to delve into things to ascertain the truth instead of being lazy and just believing whatever we hear.

Now think. You already pointed out that there are no jobs. So explain to me what you think unemployable me, even if there were jobs, would do when there are no jobs? Is it not likely that I turn arm robber? And if I were Yoruba, would I not camouflage myself as say Fulani, so I am not easily detected especially since I know you are already gullibly quick to call me Fulani herdsman even when you see nor smell no cow? Don't you think I could possibly be smart enough to utter some words that make you think I am indeed Fulani even though for all you know I could be speaking Spanish?

I can assure you that dem never born the fulani herdsman to come to the Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun to come and be rearing cattle on our land and then be raping and kidnapping my people. As we say, "kini a fi oro se ni ilẹ wa?" And I bet you that the Orolu Kingdom is not unique in doing oro!

budaatum:

My own Yoruba race has not been exposed to "murder and bloodshed".

As I've repeatedly told you, nobody born the Fulani or anyone else's mama and papa to come to the Orolu Kingdom to murder and bloodshed!

It is our land! If guests do not know their place we will do festival with their cattle, and will not need Amotekun because we are not a disorganised Kingdom like you seem to have become!

Harmless utterances like "Who born me?" and "if them born you well... " are making your head spark provoke you towards destructive inclination. If the person now say "Won bi e da!" (Dem no born you well), what will happen to you? You will run mad or suffer heart attack.

These statements are not curses. Bit in any least way. You took offenses at the statement because you you interpreted it wrongly. "Won bi e da" or "if them born you well" simply means "You dare not" While "Who born me?" means " I dare not" or " I don't have the guts to do it"

Good explanation, but who ever dares someone should also expect the consequences.

You do not dare someone and expect positive results Everytime, because you believe the person won't cross the line you just set.

Like someone said in this thread he reacted to someone in the UK calling him dickhead grin

We are all different. But let's interpret it for what it is.
