Your post made me assume you're a small boy. Even in the Buhari era as military head of state , only idiagbon did the magic not Buhari. Buhari was deceived by a clique in the army which left a loophole for babangida to take power. He had nothing to offer than bigotry and nepotism even now. How many fulanis were jailed by Buhari in his fight against corruption after dethroning shagari back then? Now we know how good Buhari is in performance na and that's why you thought we weren't practising democracy yet. No democracy would impunity and lack of respect for the rule of law prevail. Whether buhari is rewriting his own meaning of democracy or not, democracy in which we are, is far better than military rule. Section 1 of the constitution says the security and welfare of the citizens shall be the primary purpose of govt. If floating a security outfit by state govts is illegal, then why do we even have them at all?

CJTF was borne out as a child of necessity in Borno and yobe states. Till now, there are no laws backing them but no one has come out to label them illegal. Governments are empowered by the constitution to take measures to ensure security of lives and properties in their domains. As long as such measures do not infringe on human rights, they are perfectly legal.

If anyone thinks amotekun is illegal, let them test it in court.
