buygala: Adultery is only a crime in Northern Nigeria, Bros. The ratio in those cases you cited weren't limited to Benue state alone. You can also see Aoko v Fagbemi. Throughout the country (except where the Penal Code is applicable), it's totally legal, so this doesn't prove anything about the Benue tradition. |
