Yes as long as it comes to the South East. Since the SW have been president and VP for a cummulative 16 years.

Lmaooooo!!!!

Did you see Elrufai mention SE??

SInce the day igbos in PDP told the SW PDP that there is nothing like micro-zoning of the party chairmanship to the SW but opened to the SOUTH as a region, the igbos boxed themselves into a corner

It’s is generally accepted that igbos are politically tactless, myopic, short-sighted and always playing into the hands of their political adversaries

Nobody will micro zone an important elective post to the SE, certainly not APC

Have you been fair to the rest of Nigeria? Especially Hausa and Yoruba. You mock the north with all of it problems. You call Buhari all sorts of names and insult him at the slightest opportunity. You insult and abuse all Yoruba leaders dead or alive. From Awolowo to Abiola, Tinubu, Osinbajo, Laid Mohammed etc. Even if I want you in Aso Rock, I do not have the power to make it happen. God aside, those are some of the people who can do it and you people have practically destroy your chances by your unnecessary hatred for Hausa and Yoruba!!!
this is a faceless forum, I am a detribalise igboman,I don't subscribe to zoning because it helps no one ,Is as a result of failure in leadership that most of us now promote zoning, talking about mockery statements, if u are on this forum u will notice some tribal bigotry statement coming from all the tribe in Nigeria both yuroba igbo and hausa's ,I don't think this is peculiar to one tribe. 2015 I supported apc ,I never believed Buhari will be their candidate, not minding I still supported until later part of 2017 ,it was clear to me he has nothing to offer.as a young man always stand on the side of justice it doesn't hot.

Power will return to the south in 2023 because it’s the right thing to do in the interest of the country. I know some of you are really pained but there is nothing you can do about it.

Just say you want power to return to the SW in 2023 Nobody will beat you.

The south east should present candidates for president in the two major parties. The presidency will not be microzoned to any zone in the south. All willing southerners will contest and the people will decide. Bode George will contest for PDP ticket and Tinubu will contest for APC ticket. South east should also put up candidates for the tickets of PDP and APC. They should stop asslicking Atiku.

THE SE WILL NOT CONTEST IN PDP.IT IS NOT COMPULSORY TO CONTEST FOR PRESIDENT

Our politics is too expensive to get the right kind of leaders in, and the Nation has grown poorer to even enable that in the closest future..

Solution:
Enact into the constitution a point based election system, the higher a voters educational level, the higher your number of vote alongside the zoning dichotomy between the North and South still in place.

Primary school cert and below - 1 vote.
Secondary School cert - 2 votes.
Graduate - 3 votes.

Benefits:
- You encourage education 100%, which brings about innovations, ideas and problem solving..
- The chances of the right candidate increases at a very high percentage.
- You encourage birth control on quality not quantity..
- You give more voting power to the educated..
- You discourage vote buying aswell..
- The politicians would begin to seek integrity over popularity..
- the purpose of populating to win elections would be gone which has adversely affected the Nation.
- 4 graduate votes would equal 12 primary school cert holder votes.

We really need to start thinking outside the box

The hood don't always make a monk.
I agree with you that those eligible to votes should possess certain qualifications, but I disagree it should strictly be educational qualifications. My opinion is, eligible voters should come from stakeholders in the communities.
Initially the beginning of the American system we adopt did not give room allowing every adults to vote except those with stakes. These were landowners, professionals like doctors, lawyers e.t.c, business owners/employers of labour.
When you know your vote determines how your community, personal life and business will be in the next 4 yrs you would vote wisely and not gamble it away.
If we can do something similar and also allow independent candidates without party affiliations, over time credible leaders would emerge.

Keep deceiving yourself. If south east wants the presidency, they should put up a candidate. If not, that’s there cup of tea. Other parts of the south will contest and ensure the presidency returns to the south. South east cannot hold the rest of Nigeria to ransom.

But i don't know about the rest of the south. What we want in the south south & by extension the south east is absolute resources control, they can keep the presidency forever.
You can't use the resources from my land to rehabilitate kill.ers and "bandits" and to develop your self imposed ravaged region while you contribute nothing but pain, poverty, illiteracy, deaths to this contraption called Nigeria.

Ofcourse it's good snakes don't count on the support of leopards.

If APC gives the ticket to an Ewedu man who wants to swallow everything that belongs to the south, there will be massive exodus of big wigs from APC to PDP as usual and North/SE/SS will defeat you 100 times in 100 political battles. Even Awolowo knows this, that's why he died unfillfiled trying to be president. grin

Even yoruba votes are useless to yoruba candidates if we look at your political history. Yoruba votes have never succesfully made a yoruba man president and it is not changing soon. grin

As it stands today, you are politically useless except to play the spoiler role. The North understand this perfectly well and that is why they always treat you like rag.

1999-2023, that is 24 years and the Northern PDP never deem it fit to consider you even for the position of VP, rather they use you as they want with the knowledge that you are too politically cowardly to ask for anything except crumbs!

Now you want to come and demand from APC that you deride with passion. Even the law of equilibrium will fight you grin

A man on the ground fears no fall, but greedy serpents must be dealt with.

You claim you are sophistiscated, yet can't make yourself president in the nigeria that you love so much. That you have realized how hopeless you are as a 'sophisticated' tribe is enough satisfaction.

The message is simple- If you can't step aside in the spirit of fairness and equity and support the South East be ready to get a bloody nose as Awolowo your leader suffered twice before he died. Amotekun can't save you.

We are not appealing, it is a demand.

Actually the East is not yet ready to present a candidate. I don't see anyone eligible maybe except Rocha's

But on the other hand, the south is not United

The North will capitalise on this division in the South and take 2023.

Bia Nwokem kpachara Anya gi Dia!!!!

I am a full fledged igbo man
Who is eligible among igbo politicians that can command support from the North? Minus Rocha's

Peter Obi is very OK but the system can't support him.

Who else? Is it all these efulefu governors and politicians who are totally useless?

Even the South West most of you are talking about who among them will North be comfortable to relinquish power to?

The only people that have been allowed to rule Nigeria all belong to the inner cacus. With the exception of Jonathan, who was very fortunate and lucky. Who else?

Obasanjo was past head of state in 1979
Buhari past head of state
Yaradu younger brother of Shehu Musa who belonged to the inner cacus

Nigeria is being guarded jealously by these inner cacus
Even all these South West politicians like Tinubu, Fashola, Fayemi etc are all daydreamers

Only maybe Osibanjo the cacus that owns Nigeria may be comfortable with.

Good points raised:

1 - The purpose lies on enabling educationaly smarter individuals having a higher edge than those whom have not.. yes we may have graduates who know nothing, but that number cannot be compared to non graduates who know nothing.. moreover education has not cap or age limit, short courses abound everywhere..

2 - No its does not destroy the social fibre neither does it encourage nepotism, rather its reduces over population and brings about birth control of quality over quantity thereby having infrastrustures go round for the controlled population.

3 - it's not in electing professors and all, the purpose is on more educationally inclined people making a good percentage of elective positions.

4 - electoral college may not be able to work in Nigeria, it's like giving presidential election to senators and house of assembly to nominate. moreover the same politicians we are trying to eliminate would champion the electoral college, and the cycle goes round again.

1.✓
2.√
3.✓
4.×

2.Recently,HRH Sanusi adviced the North against the negative consequences of Quota system. This will be worse under the system you are proposing.

4. The electoral college in USA is composed of ordinary citizens and not state political actors. I urge you to take a look at this model online.

If APC zone power to South west as it is all over the grapevine that means APC has handed power freely to Atiku, Kwakwaso, tambuwal PDP.

Obj south west and GEJ south south are southern presidents extraction while only Buhari is from north west since 1999.

If the APC zone it to the south west it means the south west is shortcharging other regions of North Central, North east, and south east.

So should PDP featured a north east or North Central candidate APC south west is a goner.

I suggest the APC should give it to other northen region.

Beside what make tinubu think he can defeat an Atiku or kwakwaso
Tinubu or south west will defeat any almajiri u ever think of. It will surprise u
