@O.P you have no other way out.... i suggest you don't tell them till you're finally in naija because some fathers can cut off (allowances) when angry with their children. Tell them about everything when you're home in presence of trusted uncles and aunties to help manage the situation...... going by what you said about ur dad being strict he might react in a moment of anger and frustration then only God knows what might follow.
