Julius Berger is using the port to bring in their equipments for second niger bridge, those containers are for JB, their construction yard is also located inside Onitsha port complex


Take a look at the first picture you will see tugboat and empty barge that brought Julius Berger containers, 2nd and 3rd pictures are port complex 4th is Julius Berger yard within the complex

I guess onitsha river port will be serviced by warri and onne port...

If so i don't see the point. I rather clear my cargo at onne/warri and save myself the bottleneck and bureaucracy. Waiting few more days before it get to Onitsha.. Saving time and safety of goods.. Imagine ferrying container loads of valuables in a barge through the unsecured niger delta creek.. Wickedness


Its way cheaper to build even if not..
Its way safer
Faster
Infrastructurally better to build a train line from warri/onne to Onitsha
It will benefit the businesses and the masses...

Na how many times una go concession this port? This one is worse than 2nd niger bridge. I was ten year old when this thing begam its concession journey.
