Nigerian soldiers can do this, in fact Nigerian Police Lagos command alone can defeat Boko Haram in 4 weeks, but the problem and reason why Boko Haram war seems impossible for Nigerian army to win is Hausa-Fulani people.

Boko Haram is Hausa-Fulani ethnic soldiers.

They use their people in Nigerian army as top army generals and commanders, as President, as Governors, as ordinary soldiers, as Airforce men and women to frustrate the effort of determined Nigerian soldiers.

Anytime Hausa-Fulanis want Boko Haram to end, it will end like harmattan

I speak the truth of which many don't like or would like to hear.

You can say whatever you wanna say.

I wonder how a graduate who passed through primary, secondary, university, may be masters would reason or comment like an illiterate.

I see many of your kinds on Nairaland. Only few say things maturely.

So if I gave you a microphone to speak into it to the crowd or small gathering, that would be what you will say.

Comment as if you are facing a large crowd or speaking to people; masses , and not like those by the vendor who gossip and say things they don't know.

Well, you have to rely on news about foreign soldiers and believe everything written in its entirety. But when news of accomplishments of Nigerian troops is let out they will say it is propaganda.
Chad has always achieved ‘visible results ‘ yet the BH were able to eliminate 90 soldiers (!) before the retaliation by the Chadian forces that we are now hailing. And also with their ‘visible results’ they haven’t been able to end the war even in their own territory. Do we really know what war is all about and the vested interests associated with it?
One thing you should know is that you may never really get all the good news involving our troops from the war front, just as you would also not get all the bad news about the war.
Nevertheless pockets of victories here and there, no matter how small, are what have mostly kept us safe in our territory. No doubt you will see bits and pieces of attacks here and there by the enemies, but that’s what it will remain. You don’t expect the leadership of BH to just surrender like ‘cowards.’
The war will prolong for a while, but we pray that it ends soon and that Covid 19 plays its role amongst the enemies. They have their own 2 weeks too to begin to see the effect of Corona.
For now, we are extremely proud of the guys on the ground working hard to make sure that we sleep at night free from massive invasions and wanton destruction.

This your comment eeeh. Why would they seize weapons from Nigerian soldiers? Do they wanna go to war with us? Doesn't sound feasible

Sweetcunt, you didn't understand his post. He said that 95% of the arms and amunition Chad seized from Boko Haram was actually owned by the Nigerian army before Boko Haram seized it from them.

Boko Haram won't last a month if Nigeria is serious and top people in the North both within the army, the populace and the politicians not supporting them covertly. GEJ discovered it during his regime but unfortunately, he lacked the balls to crush them regardless of what the likes of Buhari and the others were saying then. When Ihejirika was appointed as the Army Chief by GEJ, he took the war to Boko Haram and was decisively dealing with them but what happened, Buhari and the so called northern elders raised alarm that GEJ was killing northerners! They began to blackmail both Ihejirika and GEJ but instead of GEJ to ignore them, he became jittery and removed Ihejirika

At some point too, towards the general election, GEJ was so frustrated at the unserious way the army was fighting Boko Haram and he had to recruit SA mercenaries to lead some of the battles and the result became instantly obvious.

Anybody who is still in doubt that top northerners in the government, army and populace are the ones sponsoring Boko Haram surely has a very low IQ.

Boko Haram will never be defeated even in the next 10 years except an external force (without the involvement of northerners) are allowed to take control.

Chad, Niger and Cameroun as well as innocent Nigerians will continue to suffer the consequences of the evil being done by a select few.

What are you even on about?! Give weapons to who?!

If those weapons get to Nigerian Army, they are getting back to Boko Haram... Enough said!

Chadian military is well trained, well fed, well paid, well equipped and actually behaves like a legitimate military.

Whereas Nigerian military is less trained, poorly paid, less equipped, very corrupt, murder citizens unnecessarily and behaves like an illegal military!

Some of you just say things just for cheap likes.

You are just wailing, no point, no shred amount of evidence against the president.

It's is high time we all see and say things the right way , and let go of our hatred.

You come out ranting and accusing people of having no points, just hate, yet failed to shed light on anything... Even failed to objectively counter the accusations against your President...

You are no different from the people you are thrashing... Honestly, I sense you more dense.

You have said it all!
The war front? Don’t ever pray to be near there or even in the thick of it.
Our boys are damn brave ! And they are great Heroes of our time.
Someday we shall give them the honour due to them for keeping us all safe and at a very heavy price. Our gain has been the loss of their families. The least we can do is to appreciate their effort and give due respect to their widows and fatherless children and even their mothers who weaned them and gave them to the country as sacrificial lambs.
They are the few, the proud!
Ahoy!

illiterates and hypocrisy everywhere. First of all I want to commend the chad army for this wonderful job.
if we analyze these properly, we will observe the following.
1. this stockpile was taken in the Chadian territory and not in Nigeria. this is for a reason. the Nigerian army has pushed boko haram out of Nigeria. what boko haram does now is to come to Nigeria, hit us and run back to Chad. they have been at this for a long time. the Nigerian government have been complaining seriously.
2. the Nigerian army cannot crossover to Chad to make this capture.
3. these are not the type of guns the Nigerian army use. check the butt or yansh of the guns, you will discover that they are hollow. the army does not use this type. what this means is that this stockpile was not captured by boko haram from the nigerian army.
4. Chad has been accused of sponsoring boko haram for a long time. even during the period of GEJ we modu Sheriff fled to Chad
