Analytical thinking would have told these people that states on lock down with the highest cases would be considered first.

Already, they said they were not giving anyone who has N5k and above in their account.

I wonder how the non-Northerners who voted this government a second term sleep at night.

If this thread had said FG includes any state from the SE, by now it would have reached page 30 with comments like Igbo people are not appreciating that Buhari is the next best thing after sliced bread, Buhari saves SE from imminent hunger, despite not voting enmasse for him Buhari has delivered electoral promises to the SE
so people like you still exist,it's unbelievable

U now see reasons people vote for tribe rather than on merit, Buhari has nothing to do with being president. Tinubu, sycophants and his personal interest pushed him to it. In a lockdown is it only in d North East that poor Nigerians exist? What a show of shame

Wait o! FG locked down Abuja, Lagos And Ogun and then shared money in the north. Does that make sense?

Zamfara where there are no restrictions of movement will get stipends while Lagos that has been on lockdown for over 2 weeks gets nothing? Are these people confused, incompetent or just plain wicked?

They just sdded Borno in the list to cover up their northernization agenda.

Lagos and Delta are the main target to deny the cash transfer while Borno will get theirs by proxy.

87% of the total amount is meant for the north while the south takes only 13%

Theres no politics been played here. Lagos as a state has benefitted the most from this corona virus shutdown. And I beleive Buhari still has the state in mind

This is insanity. How can the epic centre of the whole thing, that has been under complete lockdown with millions of inhabitants be excluded?

Katsina state, a useless and valueless state adding next to zero value and not even the epic centre, is topping the list.

What was the rationale behind that?

There's no rationale or logic at all.

It's just shameless theft.

Buhari is a joke of a president. A sad joke.

I don't intend to trivialize this weighty assertion. But frankly speaking, this post sounds like an IPOB or wailers kind of stuff.

Or am I the only one reading "nepotism" "tribalism" ... In this thread?

[s]Lagos is the epicenter of beggy beggy...I never knew the height of begging until I came to Lagos.

Even people in suits will beg you in Lagos..I think the state government should look into that, it's nearly impossible to walk on the streets of Lagos without meeting one or two healthy people that will beg you for money.

If I walk down to shops in my street to buy something, the youths there will beg you for change, if they see you drinking beer in a bar, they will come and beg you, if you go to the bank whether to carry out transactions or file complaints, the securities will beg you. It is disgusting..

Lagos youths and elders need the palliatives more than the norths.[/s]
Assuming you had sense, you will know that 3/4 of the beggar population in Lagos are Northerners.

Truth be told we have a lot more of the poor in the northern part of the country. The mistake is using that same register to implement the 20k coronavirus relief fund by the honourable human disaster of a minister. It should have instead been a targeted disbursement to states on lockdown. Unfortunately, it will be hard for the govt to fight off accusations of nepotism with this sham.

But now that Lagos and Ogun are locked down and the people are blocking roads, old women ready to sell their bodies, One Million Boys writing letters to cut off hands, vandalisation of Bread vans, Awawa boys raiding Agege and environs, 10 cups of rice being given to one whole street as palliative etc everywhere is silent.
They are waiting for an Igbo related thread to express anger over their condition in life.
Igbos should do well to ignore the thread, let us not be dragged into other peoples battles.

My kids are really hungry and the worse of it all is that right now we are homeless. My landlord has asked us to pack out of the house as the rent expired since and the 3 months he gave us will expire by the end of this April 2020 which I don't know where to face with my children. My husband was duped through a friend I trusted and introduced to him through my elder brother for traveling document since then he has never been his real self. As I am typing this in tears I don't even know he's way about since August 10th, 2019 till now. He has abounded me and the kids because his family never wanted us together right from day one. And after this predicament, he abandoned us I have contacted all the family members' friends and everyone I know, but they are all coming up with different and almost the same topic that they are all waiting to hear from him. I know God has a purpose in everything and only him in Heaven knows what he is doing. I love my family so very much and depression, thinking, sleepless nights and hungry really want to collect my kids and I. Now house rent issue and I have until the end of this month to pack out of this house please Nigerians. Help my children and me in any way you can please. I was advised to be very careful about an online advantage taking but I'm left with no choice. You can call text or WhatsApp me for more clarification. I have no other choice, please.
