Over ten years ago, I had a 3 month internship with that company. I was helping to carry generator parts, couple and troubleshoot generators. That should be my most physically gruelling work experience so far. Lebanese guys are brutes. My boss was Lebanese and would want us to come to work by 8.am and close by 6pm. |

Rising cars of crime everywhere....kilode? Is that a threat or are you living out what you plan doing? Nobody prays for such.....but in all things look inwards. |

I am baffled how someone will be working with Mikano and the likes and feel secured in Nigeria. Forget about the lockdown, the prospects for generators companies are growing dimmer daily. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Here in Nigeria, Arik Air has cut salaries by 80% and placed workers on compulsory leave. Mikano Generators have just sacked 600 staff. Will there be more of these in the coming weeks? My heart goes out to those who have lost their jobs since the covid-19 pandemic started. ***Modified*** 1 Like |

If it's true then that's very insensitive of the company. Why can't they keep them with half pay or no pay pending when this coona virus is over? |

It's just beginning. Not only sack but many companies are heading for bankruptcy. When your govt is copying developed countries without any form of local strategy this is to be expected. Lockdown is not a final strategy in the developed world. It is used to gain time while the govt figures out how to restore as much normalcy as possible within the shortest time. Those in govt who championed lockdown here did so blindly because they cannot think for themselves and also to share money. The money will soon finish since Nigeria itself isn't earning any revenue for over a month since nobody is buying oil. Soludo has said that lockdown won't work for Africa and he has given his reasons. Nigeria is The Titanic and we have begun to sink 3 Likes |

The caption should be "Atiku sacks over 600 staff." Blame Buhari not on this. Corona will reset many things in order but the process will hurt many people. When a tree is hewed down, the branches and the ground suffers the most. |

DesignHave: Sir, this have nothing to do with who was and wasn't voted for. There is a pandemic that is affecting the world currently. 22 million Americans are jobless. Lots of companies have been sacking their staffs. If the person who you wanted to be the President was the President he wouldn't have stopped any company from sacking their staffs. We need vaccine... And very quickly because things will only get worse. Let's get somethings right for once. 2 Likes |
