Sorry to hear about your friend’s refusal.

But nothing here shows he was evaluated based on Thailand. Is he legally resident in Thailand? And did he attach documents to prove it?

The reasons he was given in the refusal letter are generic. To see the specific cause of his rejection, he needs to order his GCMS notes. To do that, just google “GCMS notes sites Canada” and he’ll see several websites you can order it from. It costs between $15-$20 cad and can take up to 35 days to be ready. If he has anyone in Canada ( citizen, permanent resident or temporary resident) to order it on his behalf it would cost $5 cad only. From the notes he’ll see the visa officer’s specific concerns and he’ll be able to address it before replying if he decides to reapply.

Before then he should share his profile (age, course applied for and level, course he’s doing now in Thailand, previous employment etc)

And the documents he submitted so people in the house can advise properly.

PPR DROPPED. How do i start ooooo......

my journey started in 2019.

I graduated from Nnamdi Azikie University with 4.25cgpa Mechanical Engineering in 2014

I served in 2016(NYSC). I DON FIND JOB TIRE OOOOOOO.
At a point, i gave up. I stopped applying for jobs. I just focused on playing piano in my church, and also, my father's business.


I was accepted into the university of Saskatchewan for Msc, 2019.

Then i was accepted for 2019 september term.

I was dupped of 450,000 naira by my friend's agent. Very long story. Then, i found out in August 28th 2019. By Then, it was already late. so i deferred again to 2020 January. I applied again through another agent. My money was refunded after wasting one month of precious time. I applied again, late November myself. No help from anyone. i gathered all documents with small account statement. I was denied in January 2020.



At this point i almost gaveeeeeee up ooooo.

But i picked up the courage again. Then i gathered all required documents and then appled again in June.

it took me 2 years before i was accepted for my masters. GOD helped me. HOLY INFANT JESUS helped me.I don't want to sound too religious. I am not. But i got this admission after i asked INFANT JESUS for help. HE told me that i will be accepted 10 days after applying for acceptance by a professor. IT HAPPENED. FEEL FREE TO DOUBT OR BELIEVE.


Please don't loose hope.

Yes he is legally resided in Thailand, he is a student currently doing his masters just wants to go for a MBA in canada.
The notes say job opportunity in country of residence which is thailand. I still dont understand why they would think he wants to come back to thailand and not his home country nigeria and we stated explicilty in the SOP.

Based on the documents provided, especially those relating to funds, reason for travel, family ties and previous trips, I am not convinced that RT reqs in good faith, that the funds are sufficient / sustainable for this study trip. . The cost seems to me disproportionate when I consider the nature of the previous studies, the economic situation (income and present assets) of the applicant and / or the immediate family and the employment prospects / potential wages. There does not appear to be a logical connection between the planned study program and the academic and professional background. I am not satisfied that she will be a bona fide student leaving Canada, if required, after an authorized stay. I am not satisfied that requesting a bona fide student under R179. File refused

-She has a very close relationship with her uncle.
- Asset. Land property worth 13kCAD & deed of gift (house) from mother. 16k CAD
- She works too. (Language teaching & translation)
- Got IELTS.



HOW I INTEND TO REBUTTAL
- Apply for 09/2020 session
- Go for a PGD not a Diploma in Journalism
- Pay first year school fees. The fees this is affordable.
- Sponsor would be Dad/ Mum & uncle would be secondary this time. Or I get a student loan.
- Money would be transferred to her account to make it look all sealed.
- Work on the EOX

He did his bachelors in Thailand and extended it to a masters but wants to finish up his masters in Canada. We showed solid home ties to Nigeria and am surprised they evaluated him based on ties to Thailand. Please wats your take on this? thanks. why will they think he wants to come back to Thailand and not his home country of Nigeria to work.

Sorry to hear about the refusal.

Is it just a diploma or a post graduate diploma?

To be honest, linguistics and journalism are not related if you look at it properly.

Your funds were also considered insufficient. How much did you submit? Who was the sponsor? Was any tuition paid? Seeing that the tuition is on the high side, you need to have a convincing reason why you’ll pay that much, when there are cheaper options in Nigeria
