Humanoid01: Those who fear for Nigeria is not only because of coronavirus, it is the fear that our fragile health facilities might get overwhelmed. And we pray it doesn't. If it does, while Coronavirus will kill less, other diseases might even kill more. Let me tell why. If you hear that someone who visited a particular hospital with a case of diabetes returned infected with Covid-19 likely picked up at that hospital, will you visit that hospital again?. Would you even be inclined to visit any hospital at all? Or what if you visit a hospital, not for a covid case though and you are number 900 in the tally to be seen by just one doctor. When do you think it will get to your turn? And what if your case is critical and somebody suggests that you go through the emergency room, and you got there you see a lot of patients on the floor, some dead and the only doctor there is running helter skelter and he is not able to look at your direction? Or the doctor handling your case is reportedly absent because he is self isolating having tested positive, or you hear he has died of Covid-19! Or the patient next to you just gave up and everyone is being careful not to get close and NCDC is quickly informed and they keep promising 'we are on our way, we are on our way' and for hours they are not able to come and you are there with the corpse with no hope that the deceased will be evacuated soon. When a health facility gets overwhelmed it is not an experience any body wants to pass through not even once in ones life time. When you hear or read about the number dieing in New York etc, what do you think is happening? Something close if not even worse than the scenario I have just described. In a pandemic every other ailments becomes almost secondary and that is what every sane person dreads. My neighbour used to go to hospital to treat her malaria. For over a week now she is self medicating? Why? According to her husband 'she is afraid to go to hospital because she doesn't know if they will suddenly conclude that she should be tested for Covid-19". It is time to pray, pray, pray. It is not a time to trade blames. It is time to use wisdom, for wisdom is better than gold. As the govt has relaxed the lockdown must you go out if you have no need to? Folks we are at war. That is the simple truth. In a war time every human endeavour becomes an emergency. Must you receive visitors just because the lockdown has been lifted? Must you say 'this is not my portion? And go on acting recklessly in the name of 'i have faith? Remember we must not tempt God that is why he has given us thinking ability so that when we see danger we can wisely avoid it. The energy used in trading blames can be used to take necessary precautions to survive this plague. If you must know ALL EYES ARE ON AFRICA ESPECIALLY NIGERIA. It is not for nothing Trump called yesterday promising VENTILATORS instead of testing kits! May God the source of life see us all through. Amen 2 Likes |

Useless people, the only thing they believe in is mallam ya che(mallam say) if mallam did not say,'' if you like preach to them from now till tomorow they will not listen until mallam tells them what to do. And the most annoying thing is that most of their mallams are born illiterate. A case of the blind leading the blind |

Civid 19.. Aboki go still call am polio , typhod and malaria Bill Gates and Melinda Foundation don't just speak without facts, they where the ones who invested their own money in putting a stop to polio that all most crippled a good percentage of northerners, they funded research, and personally travelled to affected African countries to inspect the distribution so as to avoid corruption, they where responsible for battling child birth mortality and many more, so when they speak they have facts Its a shame when Bill Gate told Buhari to his face that his long term financial plan and budgeting was wrong and he should focus more on human capital development rather than infrastructure, many argued, ... again he advised more funding of WHO so as to help poor countries in Africa but people rather supported Donald Trump who thinks Africa is shithole, and has never spent a kobo in Africa Now Melinda gates prediction is happening in Kano state and ironically Bill Gate had visited Kano State several times on request of Dangote Please, when will your country stand on their own, country with abundant resources, first the government is not serious all they know is acquire, looting, married many wives, many houses, house which no is inside, many cars which they don't drive, if not Nigeria could have be lending money to others country (shame on our rulers) the they will have leader in this country this will move for good, I pray for that day, because he will show the way, lead with fear of God. |

solmus:Africans nor like truth na. Science, facts, research and empiricism have no meaning to most of us. A large number believe Covid-19 is a hoax. Most would prefer the Gates to donate those billions to build more religious houses. With no accountability. Accountability is anatema to us. We much prefer people with dictatorial tendencies like Trump. Because the average black man is power drunk. Even the lowest employee would use his lowly office to frustrate and exploit the masses. 1 Like |

The attitude of the political leaders in the North, as it concerns national issues should be a serious concern to Nigerians. When an issue comes up there, it's first viewed from the cultural ethnic, political and religious point, without a thought for the effect of their actions nationally. When the issue boomerangs, they throw it up and it becomes a national responsibility, national resources will now be deployed and the detriment of other Nigerians. Example (1) Boko Haram. Everyone knows how it all began and the effect on Nigerians today (2) Almajiri kind of life. A way of life that have had negative impact in the nation. Begging has become a life and culture (3) Polio Vaccination. Getting their wards vaccinated has always been a war. (4) Under age marriage leading to the under age girl having Vagina Vascular disease (5) Out of school children and high level of illiteracy The present Kano mysterious deaths, could as well be avoided, but the same attitude of cultural, ethnic, religious and political considerations by the governor, which is the trade mark of the Northern leaders, has brought about these deaths and it's become a national issue, requiring national resources. Other states were busy, putting up structures against Covid 19, Ganduje was concerned more about #15b, because, Lagos state was given #10b. The better this Northern Leaders attitude is changed and checked, the better it will be for all of us |

Those of you, who are rejoicing, re- amplifying and wishing that the evil wishes of Mrs Melinda Gates become a reality in Africa, will be disappointed at the end.. Check the records. The number of deaths in the whole of African, is not up to what you have in America, where they comes from. The Madagascar and Senegal story is a pointer that African will disappoint her enemies Kano's story is not the result of incompetence on the part of front line medical team, but that of political rascality by the governor. |

EzzyCarter: Only Kano? Nigerians allowed Chinese scientists to do clinical tests for medication and vaccine using its own citizens Nigerians are breaking lock-down rules due to their stupid beliefs in religious worships and gatherings Government officials and foreign oil workers are wandering freely in the country as untouchables Masses gatherings for funerals of dead Covid-19 patients. Police and security personnel accepting bribes and favor to allow some people free movement. Europe and Asia may be slowly getting over this pandemic but when it finally hits Africa (as the rest of the world wants the focus to be) - it may not be pleasant! |
