Any president is strong if they are competent. GEJ was incompetent and inexperienced
Gowon IBB and Abacha were all minorities so that is not an issue.

He showed his political naivety in the way he managed the PDP in the SW losing all the governorship seats in the zone and attacking all the PDP stalwarts because he thought they were close to Obasanjo.
