tamdun: There is no way you can talk about secession without talking about Ipob. They have successfully created massive awareness amongst the people and also among other tribes. The reps and senators you spoke about wont support it openly. BTW, most are planted by the aggressors. You saw how the Governor of Imo state was brought into power. So, It wont come from them. But know that they are in support of division of the country. I believe, henceforth, we will not have much opposition from you guys based on your comments here. 4 Likes |

The north uses this division, or half backed truth to push the igbos and yorubas anywhere they want them, meanwhile if we come together we could do same as the north is more fragmented than the south. For centuries we have lived together, intermarried till date, defended ourselves when we are in abroad, like two powerful horses on a race, we challenge ourselves for greatness . Awolowo, Azikiwe is gone, ojukwu , Adekunle is gone... The black race depends on these two tribes (and there cousins) Like I said I am sick and tired of this tribalism, if it is jazz /juju the north is using I am free from it. 4 Likes |

jacksonkennedy: Where do you get that 3 million figure from.? You folk love victimhood so much you have to embellish it. Whatever the number how are Yoruba to blame? Why do you cowardly transfer your bitterness to Yoruba ignoring those that slaughtered you like goats in the North? Igbos voted for Abiola.? What kind of liar are you? There were two candidates in the election Abiola and Tofa . You chose Tofa and here you ard telling us rubbish No one blames Igbos for what happened to Abiola another lie In 1998 Alex Ekwueme contested against Obasanjo and lost a humiliating vote. So do not come here to tell us you supported Yoruba in voting for him. In 2003 you claim you voted Obasanjo probably because your politicians did what you always do ,act like opportunists. WE SAW NO EVIDENCE that you voted Obasanjo though if yo did not it would have made no difference The powers that be decided they would rather hand over to Obasanjo than Falae and your politicians opportunistically keyed in to the PDP train How you can then try to dress that up as Igbo support for Yoruba is astonishing. Part of the problem with Igbos is intrinsic dishonesty. You tell preposterous lies that are so manifestly false without any discomfort. How can anyone relate with that. The truth is Yoruba never hated you. You are the ones that always were envious and spiteful of Yorubas. If the Yoruba hated you they would not gave collected rent for your houses in Lagos and returned same after the war to you.. Would You have done that if roles were reversed? That gesture captures the Yoruba attitude to you and anyone who comes to live among us. The Nupe have lived among us for centuries, ditto the Ijaws. You are the ones that arrive yesterday and think you are going to take over .. How did you repay them after they handed over your rent and property? More envy, more lies. Lies about Awolowo, Lies about twenty pounds, lies about Indigenization decree. By law they could have seized your property as the Ikwerre did in Port Harcourt .Did you ever publicly acknowledge this or show gratitude? Throughout all elections in history including the June 12 election you always sided with the Fulani. Did the Yoruba ever ONCE challenge your choice? No we respected it All the time you did that it was clear opportunism to remain with the winning team. The one time in our history when we allied with a Northerner in 2015 you unleashed all manner of abuse on us for doing something you have ALWAYS DONE. With one difference we did it from opposition with no guarantee of success whereas your character is to align with what you believe to be a certified winning team to eat food that is done You ask if you have been good neighbours. You have not been.Everything Buhari is doing today that we call nepotism is what Zik did in the first republic when he formed a coalition with Balewa. In the early 60s,A Medical doctor Dr Sylvester Anieke was employed at UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN as some kind of research fellow. He had claimed that he had a Dsc from Toronto . It turned out that he had forged it and was forced to resign. After that Zik appointed him his personal doctor and sent him back to UI as head of the governing Council. Recently ,last year another Phd scandal at FIIRO involved a guy called Chima Igwe. He claimed to have a Phd from University of Abomey in Benin Republic. This was a lie . He had not completed the programme when he claimed. Normally he should have been sacked and prosecuted . What happened ? Ogbonnaya Onu the minister turned deaf ears even when the staff came out to protest publicly You lack integrity and are dyed in the wool liars We do not hate you but we know you hate us and for years many of us were oblivious to that. Now we know exactly how you feel and we are waiting for you to step out of line. Then you will really see the other side of us 14 Likes 1 Share |

It is what happened that made Yaradua a Kaduna became the president n now Buhari a Kaduna man is also still the president when the NC n NE are yet to have a president. mrvitalis:There's zoning btw the North n the South n that is what will happen 2023. Yoruba see igbos in worse shade. They are despicable souls foolish enough to disregard succession clause which guarantees freedom whenever the need arises. They are pathetic set of inhuman beast that believe Yoruba should go to war n bring back them freedom. Isn't it baffling a tribe can be despicable to such an extent ? gidgiddy: 2 Likes |

Haramslayer:You don't get your secession by abusing Yorubas online, you push your secession agenda to the national assembly. If you want it, follow the proper channel. I am Yoruba, I have spent all my life in the East, I attended Government College Umuahia, I have Igbo friends, my woman is Igbo. But its not so cool when you keep attacking others. The truth is, an average Yoruba man is busy living his life, he doesn't care about Igbo secession or not. Then Kanu came into the picture with all those uncouth stories about the Yorubas. Live and let love, stop denigrating others, no Yoruba man is preventing you from having your desire country, the Yoruba man you keep insulting is not the national assembly. Follow the right channel, pursue constitutional amendment that will help you achieve your desire goals. 2 Likes |

Yobabad: Leave Yoruba muslims alone Their Yoruba Christian brothers do not see them as slaves to the north . Why you refuse to accord them basic respect and then expect the Christians amongst them to give you support beggars belief I always try not to get involved with all this tribal talks, but you sounded very disrespectful calling my Muslim aunties, uncles, cousins slaves and I can never support anything you stand for. You have disrespected my grandfather's lineage, and I would be psychotically mad to even listen to whatever you have to say, despite being raised a Christian. Perhaps it's time to change your approach, and learn to show basic respect for other people's decisions even if it doesn't align with yours. It's not everytime you do chochocho on a public forum. 4 Likes |

omonnakoda:Your verbose and comical tale is as ludicrous as it is repugnant. You have taken forever to catalogue apparent Igbo maladies but you know that the Yorubas have a mortal fear of Igbo emergence. The mere mention of the word "Igbo" elicits unconscionable insecurity in most Yoruba people. Just like someone pointed out, the most rabid opponents and traducers of the secession concept are Yorubas. Why they do what they do defies rationality... If Buhari gets called out for manifest misgovernance, the smart money is on the likelihood that the fellow who would elect to proffer incoherent defense for him would be Yoruba. The rest of Nigeria, including Buihari's kith and kin are unanimous that Buhari has massively underpeformed... Who are the exception still trying to defend the indefensible? Yorubas. Nigerian politics is hinged on gentlemen agreement that power would rotate among the traditional tripods on which the Nigerian state stands. The Igbos have been patient....waiting to take their own slot at the opportune time. 2023 is believed as the time when power should rotate to the Igbos. Infact even some northern leaders have, in principle, have resolved that power would be ceded to the Igbos in 2023. Again who are the people swimming against the tide to ensure that they torpedo a move that would greatly cement national unity? Yes, you guessed right: the Yorubas. Please look up yourself in the mirrow... 4 Likes 4 Shares |

There was never any form of opposition to your freedom beside that you cooked up in your head. What will not happen is Yoruba won't secure Igbos freedom simply because u wanted it. We rather stay out of the fight, if after you slug it out with the North we decide to stay in one Nigeria or form our Odua Nation it is solely left to us. Igbos won't be the ones to tell us when or how we should seek independence. Haramslayer: 4 Likes |

This shows the height of the foolishness of an average Igbo like you. We must not all support the disintegration of Nigeria because some foolish Igbo woke up desiring that. I am OK with daily Igbo wail, I prefer that to the disintegration of Nigeria n will support that. I have a choice to that as you have a choice to what you want. What I won't accept is your foolishness to force what you want on me. gidgiddy: 3 Likes |

Re: Yoruba Vs Igbo: Both Tribes Are Blameless by omonnakoda: 6:01pm On May 07, 2020 |
maestroferddi:Traditional Tripod? What is that? You exaggerate your importance. Gentleman Agreement? Who were the parties and when was this signed Your psychology is funny because there is no more glaring case of self deception So the argument is that Yoruba are the biggest obstacle to an Igbo presidency? The biggest obstacle is the Igbos themselves. Next to that is the Hausa/Fulani who will never let it happen. The Yoruba position is we are your competitors anytime the position comes south we will compete just like Ekwueme did but if you were not cowards the greater share of your hatred should be for the Hausa/Fulani Instead you "identify with the aggressor" a pitiable case of Stockholm Syndrome. Your imagined gentleman agreement is another of your infantile fantasies. There is no Tripod. You are not that important to anyone Your task is to convince other Nigerians that the can trust you more than the Yoruba. Surely that is a minor thing for the great Igbo people? 6 Likes |
