A lot in that region are not that strategic and calculating for such a longterm plan! They're not patient enough for such but believe in instant gratification! This is part of the reason why their resources have been bled dry under their noses and they've ended up with little or nothing besides a few enriched ex-militants and polluted creeks and rivers!

yet your ogbomosho brothers see marrying an Igbo girl as an achievement!
is that not wonderful?
it is indeed a big achievement for your guys, since you people can't give what you don't have

So marrying one Ngozi or Onyiyechi that came to the west with one Polythene bag is now an achievement?

Stop deceiving yourself, Nairaland quack Nurse.

Don't mind that foul mouthed quack Nurse, as if any of their barren states can be compared with the Promising Akwa Ibom State.

Igbos are refugees, all what they do is run away from their potopoto republic to seek asylum in other states, later they will brag about developing their host state, Mrvitalis and this quack Nurse claimed they developed Akwa Ibom (if you check the last 2 pages you will see vitalis's post)

they always brag about doing what they couldn't replicate in their erosion ravaged land, isn't that funny?

why would a reasoning person brag about developing Akwa ibom, a state with a standard stadium, world class airport, An Airline, Good roads e.t.c things that are alien to igboland.

untill we start giving them the northern treatment.

I'm not from Akwa ibom

This is getting very stale already but NOBODY cares, except the delusional Igbos who represent less than 20% of the Igbo consensus, majority of Igbos are very much invested in a homogeneous Igbo speaking nation. But know that no single Igbo territory in the SS is going along with your ND Republic (except they elect to stay like the Ikwerre who say they're from Bini). The rest of you are not important to the Igbos, we can be good neighbors as we've always been, so stop getting hard over nothing.

where ever Igbo step their foot on ,they label they the local as lazy,..from Yoruba land to Ghana to south Africa and now akwa ibom.....not leaving out Kenya...Now if truly the local were lazy ,where will the get the money to patronize the spare part ,or garri you are selling?

where ever the step they step their foot on ,they claim developing the area,

isn't ironic, that you guys leave abia that's in dire need of development to come to another state and developed it.....

Re: The Eastern Region Series : The COR Movement by gwafaeziokwu: 9:08am On May 13, 2020
My take

The Wilkinson report is simply a verdict on the reason for the age long Igbophobia in the Eastern region and Nigeria at large.

Our aggressive push for economic growth is alien to many of our compatriots whose approach to life is more laid back.

It is a clash of culture. It is a clash of ideologies.

We belive that if you say yes your chi will affirm. Things that scare the hell out of others challenges the Igbo man. If we ever succeed in tackling and winning over that challenge, you must definitely hear about it. We want that acknowledgement. It is cultural. If you kill a lion you pick the title of "Ogbuagu". If you kill cow for your kindred you answer "Ogbuefi".

This recognition and reward for excellence is our own national merit award. It created for us a merit driven society where hardwork is rewarded tremendously. It is also a very fair system that allows children from hopelessly poor homes to push for and reach the pinnacle of the society. Coupled with our reverence for "ANI the earth goddess everyman no matter highly placed is judged and governed by the same law. With no Kings to bow to,and no man to fear, Igbo man only bows to his consience. He fears retributive justice from the ANI the earth goddess, therefore he tries to be just in all his dealing.

When he comes into the larger society of Nigeria, he realised that he is too different. His culture of excellence and progress is dismissed as love for materialism. His workaholic attitude breed contempt and envy from those who feel emasculated by his sheer energy. In other cover up this inability to compete, conspiracy theories will start emerging. Igbo man is arrogant. He is not respectful. He likes money. He wants to acquire all our properties. He want to dominate us.

We are unapologetic about our heritage. Our aggresive and progressive approach to life has brought light to the continent of Africa. This approach dislodged the dominance of Indians in the retail trade Markets in Kenya and made our brothers to understand that they can engage in economic activities to help themselves. Today ,Blacks has taken over these sector in Kenya. The story is the same all over Africa.

We as Igbos have to endure. It is a price to pay for being too good.
