I have started to avoid wasting my precious time on nairaland having discovered you don't know the person or the profile of the person discussing with you. LinkedIn is a better platform where subject matter experts and consultants contribute

Syngenta is a Science based Agricultural technology company with presence in over 80 countries and about 150 years in operations. The GMOs ban in Europe has nothing to do with Syngenta research in Agric tech. Many countries in Europe patronize them. The question is do they deliver what they promised? In projects, there are consultants and KPIs are set before tender is published for contractors. Contractors work based on job specification in the tender document. You have Local Consultant representing the National Authorising Office of the Country and International Consultant representing the International Agency. This is just an example of what happens in some international projects. GMOs is not totally banned by EU, each country has regulations on how they utilise them.

To call a science based agritech company with estimated 28,000 workforce a biotech company which dabbled into GMOs is just like a crude Onitsha main market man saying refinery or crude oil is not needed because of electric car. The best is to avoid explanation.
