May God help us in this country . A woman that married an ondo man with children is now being seen as rivers woman instead of where she married. With this type of mindset , Nigeria can never move forward . Are the saying her children are ondo indigene but the wife is not ?

She can choose not to bear her husband's name...joined by marriage doesn't mean she has lost her identity...if there is a marital crisis, the woman will go back to her State of Origin while the Ondo people will be left with nothing....we must always be cautious in whatever we do because things might get out of control in the future ...

The country was just revolving.
I keep telling people that BLACKS have more rights in the United States than in their home black nations.
Even in RIVERS STATE, one would find an overwhelming Tribalism.
Rivers State may be the worst hit in terms of tribalism.
An Ikwerre Man never sees an Ogoni man as his brother.
Likewise Kalabari, Okrika, and many more..
U can live in RIVERS STATE for 100 years but would never get a government job as long as you are not an indigene..
Now, I am not surprised it's coming from the other side after all it was AWOLOWO who internalised it in Nigeria..

I support nobody but would have loved to flipped the coin to see how Rivers people will react. A country that still uses quota systems instead of merit, state of origin instead of state of residence. We shall overcome.

Speakership was zoned to our side and olubunmi was considered. Why didn't they say she wouldn't become spreaker because she married to a man from another tribe? It doesn't work the way you think.

your thought is so shallow. Do you know anything about the Akinkugbe family in ondo state at all ? Have you ever heard of Gbegi Ojora, the son of industrialist and lagosian Adekunle Ojora who owns Evans and the largest share holder in Seven Up plc? The wife of Adekunle Ojora( Gbegi's mum) is from the akinkugbe family in ondo. Professor Alinkugbe( the professor emeritus who was renowned worldwide for his works in Medicine) who died a few days ago hailed from same family. Ggbegi's grand mum's 60th birthday in 1998 which was attended by notables in Nigeria and across the globe was also attended by myself and brother. The late Ooni of Ife also attended the birthday in which Chief Bola Ige's son was MC. The event held at the Premier Hotel in Ibadan. They're very rich, famous and educated. They're among the first set of educated Africans.
