That's exactly what I and many Nigerians have been doing, so if that were to be the case, Nigeria would have the highest amount of cases and deaths in the world. However for some reason we seem to have some immunity against the virus, which the most scientifically advanced nations lack. So obviously what is helping us in Nigeria and Africa is definitely not science with respect to the virus.

It's funny to say that Coro outsmarts science. Have you not heard that people are made to recover faster by the use of some scientific drugs and facilities? Abi it is Yahweh and Allah that invented ventilators and some tested and trusted drugs being used to fight this Coro? Or is it TB Joshua's Holy Water abi na morning water? I know the truth is a very bitter pill to swallow but it doesn't have to descend to the level of insults and throwing tantrums...you could do well to learn a thing or two from the scientists at the OP concerning how to handle this bitter truth better. It's ridiculous to suggest the USA ignored science... scientifically and medically speaking there's no nation on Earth better prepared to manage such outbreaks better, infact they are the first on that list, but it's the same pitiful story with them and Britain who are ranked second on that list, not to talk of the likes of Spain, Italy, France, China and Japan who are following them closely.

You could only speak of what you know, not what you're ignorant of, so it's expected that you wouldn't see the benefit of prayer and true religion. But that wouldn't stop it from being more beneficial than science to those who put their trust in God and not in science.

However if you read the comments made by top medical scientist in the OP, you'd see how Covid-19, a microbe which measures just 80 billionths of a metre in diameter, had brought the best science could offer to its knees. Moreover science hasn't been able to manage "it" better in the respect of the world's most scientifically advanced nations when compared to "religious" Africa.
