This Tuesday, President Trump denied that he had a “series of mini strokes” months ago that resulted in him visiting Walter Reed hospital.

“It never ends! Now they are trying to say that your favorite President, me, went to Walter Reed Medical Center, having suffered a series of mini-strokes,” Trump tweeted. “Never happened to THIS candidate – FAKE NEWS. Perhaps they are referring to another candidate from another Party!” he added, pointing to Joe Biden.

In the wake of the story, people noticed that the conservative outlet Drudge Report published an article featuring images of Trump losing his balance and dragging his feet.

Other said that Drudge’s adversarial reporting on Trump is not a good sign for the GOP in 2020.

The administration of United States President Donald Trump has said it will not work with an international cooperative effort to develop and distribute a COVID-19 vaccine, because it does not want to be constrained by multilateral groups like the World Health Organization (WHO).

The decision to go it alone, first reported by The Washington Post, follows the White House's decision in early July to pull the US out of the WHO. Trump claims the WHO is in need of reform and is heavily influenced by China.

Provoking a flurry of critical reactions from health experts and lawmakers, the Trump administration’s announced Tuesday afternoon that it will not participate in the “global effort to develop, manufacture, and equitably distribute a coronavirus vaccine, in part because the World Health Organization is involved”—a decision the Washington Post said “could shape the course of the pandemic and the country’s role in health diplomacy” going forward.

The purpose of the Covid-19 Vaccines Global Access (Covax) Facility is to “speed vaccine development and secure doses for all countries and distribute them to the most high-risk segment of each population,” explained the Post.

While more than 170 countries are in negotiations to participate in Covax, Judd Deere, a spokesperson for the White House, told reporters that “The United States will continue to engage our international partners to ensure we defeat this virus, but we will not be constrained by multilateral organizations influenced by the corrupt World Health Organization and China.”

Democrat Joe Biden is ahead in three key states that President Donald Trump won in 2016, according to new Fox News statewide surveys of Arizona, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.

Support for reelecting Trump falls below his 2016 vote share in each state. At the same time, there’s room for improvement, as more voters approve of his job performance than back his reelection.

Biden’s advantage comes from strong support among women and suburban voters. Moreover, suburban women in all three states trust Biden over Trump to handle coronavirus and policing/criminal justice.

Interest in the election is roughly the same among both Biden and Trump supporters.

In all three states, a sizeable number of voters plan to cast their ballot by mail -- and in each state, many more Democrats than Republicans plan to do so.

The surveys, conducted after both national conventions ended, include results among likely voters for the first time this cycle. This is also the first time the presidential vote preference question includes the names of both the presidential and vice presidential candidates -- plus the Libertarian and Green Party candidates are now included when they are on the state’s ballot. These differences mean no apples-to-apples comparison to past survey results.

While Election Day is two months away, voters can request and return absentee ballots starting this week in North Carolina and mid-September in Wisconsin. In Arizona, absentee ballots are available early October.

Joe Biden set to visit Kenosha today and meet with family of Jacob Blake

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, are set to visit Kenosha today, two days after President Donald Trump swept into the city that has been shaken by shootings and unrest.

The two trips are likely to offer stark contrasts in tone, substance and style.

But the stakes couldn't be any clearer as Biden and Trump battle for support in battleground Wisconsin, where the most recent Fox News Poll showed the challenger with an 8-point lead over the president among likely voters.

During his stop Tuesday, the Republican president toured burned out buildings and spoke with law enforcement officials about the need to quickly end the kind of arson and looting the city saw last week.

The Democratic nominee has condemned Kenosha’s unrest but is putting his focus on the event that sparked it — the shooting of Jacob Blake from behind by police officer Rusten Sheskey.

"We've got to heal, we've got to put things together, bring people together" Biden told reporters Wednesday in Wilmington, Del.

Tensions have eased in Kenosha in recent days. A curfew was lifted.

This is Biden's first trip to Wisconsin during the campaign.

Taking health precautions because of the coronavirus pandemic, Biden stayed away from Milwaukee two weeks ago for the Democratic National Convention, which was turned into an almost entirely virtual event.

Meanwhile, Trump came to Oshkosh the day the Democratic convention opened and has mocked Biden for staying away from a state that Hillary Clinton famously didn’t visit during the 2016 general election.

Biden will meet with the family of Blake, who was paralyzed from the waist down after he was shot Aug. 23. Trump said he didn’t speak with Blake’s family because lawyers got involved in the process.

As Trump visited Kenosha, the Blake family said they wanted focus not on the president but on bringing the community together.

Jason Mesich Shot Wife To Death In Bloomington, Then Shot 2 Sisters Who Lived Next Door

Jason Michael Mesich, 48, faces three 2nd-degree murder charges for the death of his wife, and for shooting two sisters who are his Bloomington neighbors — including a 12-year-old girl who was shot in the head.

The Hennepin County Attorney’s office says officers were called to a home on the 8300 block of 15th Avenue Sunday at about 11 p.m. on several reports of gunshots being fired and possible victims. They arrived to the sound of more gunshots being fired inside the home.

Officers went to the home’s detached garage and found the body of 47-year-old Angela Lynn Mesich. She had been shot several times in the neck and upper torso.

After a standoff, police entered the home and found Jason Mesich in the basement, where he continued firing a gun, screaming and throwing things. He eventually surrendered to officers. Mesich is estimated to have fired 40 rounds during his standoff with police.

Officers then learned two of Mesich’s next-door neighbors, who are sisters, had been shot. WCCO spoke with the victims’ aunt Monday, who identified them as 12-year-old Makayla and 29-year-old Canisha. Makayla was shot in the head. She is in critical condition as of Tuesday, and her family says she’s heavily sedated. Canisha was shot several times in the legs and left hip, and is in serious condition.

Mesich told investigators that he doesn’t remember much about the shootings, but said it all started because he and his wife had an argument in the garage about the couple’s lack of sex. He said he “probably” went into the home and got a gun. When he returned to the garage, he said his wife tried to hit him, so he punched her in the collarbone with two fists. He then said she told him to shoot her, and that he assumed he did so, and assumed he “emptied” the gun to make sure she was dead.

Judge Says Trump Must Pay $2 Million Over Misuse Of Foundation Funds

A New York judge has ruled that President Trump must pay $2 million in damages to settle claims that the Trump Foundation misused funds. The money will go to a group of charities, and the foundation is in the process of dissolving.

The case is tied to a televised fundraiser for veterans held by Trump in Iowa when he was running for president in January 2016. Trump had said the funds raised would be distributed to charities. But according to court documents, the Trump Foundation improperly used $2.82 million it received from that fundraiser.

According to the judgment, that money "was used for Mr. Trump's political campaign and disbursed by Mr. Trump's campaign staff, rather than by the Foundation," which is unlawful. However, Justice Saliann Scarpulla says the funds did eventually reach charity organizations supporting veterans.
