Read my post again...you would gain an understanding of what I'm talking about.

I read it very well
As someone who grew up in Yoruba land
From Lagos to Kwara
Yoruba remains a majority Christian group
However there’s no outright majority (60%) btw both faiths

But it's Atiku's turn?

It's better you start supporting your candidate and leave the Yorubas out of your problems.

If you no Yoruba man runs for the presidency, how will that equate to Igbo presidency?

The sky is enough for all the birds to fly together.

It is a lie. Osita Chidoka is a liar. Nevertheless, the South should be united. The problem facing Southern Nigeria is far beyond Presidency.
it is not a lie. He Brought out the ads and the news paper. Check him out on twitter.

Bros, southern unity was destroyed further in 2015.

The North will never sacrifice their own for a Southerner like what was done in 2015.

Let that sink in

But don't you think it's Tinubu and not you that should worry about that?

Irrespective of the outcome, Tinubu or ANY citizen interested in contesting for the presidency of Nigeria should be allowed and encouraged to do so.

It's better Igbos rally round and project one of their own for other Nigerians to embrace and vote for to become the President instead of concentrating their energy on how to stop Tinubu or any Yoruba candidate.

Eriokanmi:
nice one. Tinubu doesn't even have the pedigree of Awolowo. What Awolowo did to the north by liberating them, clothe them but was still betrayed by them in the last minute, who's tinubu, the corrupt selfish fellow to win the hearts of the north ?

What do you exactly mean by the nebulous term 'NORTH' and who is one of their own?

Do Tiv, Bachama, Jukun or Nupe consider a Fulanis candidate jostling to succeed another Fulani president as one of their own or do Fulanis,Hausa, Bolawa or KareKare people consider a Kwara, Igala, Idoma or Tiv candidate as one of their own?

Do all the States in the North vote for the same party?

No political party goes into an election by deliberately putting itself in a disadvantaged position.

If APC should give it's ticket to the SE, it may trigger some internal rumblings within the party such that the party becomes vulnerable and apart from this fact, the PDP will do everything to defeat the party ,which unfortunately will be easier.

However, if a SE candidate contest with aspirants from other parts of the country and emerge through a broad based support of most of the party power brokers, the APC can go into the election as a united family and stand a better chance than the first scenerio of shutting out other aspirants except Igbo aspirants.

LegendHero:

No matter how you spin it, an Igbo candidate in APC will fail.

Understand the election trend in Nigeria. The SS and SE most times always vote the same way to an extent and that is a blessing and a curse at the same time.

Let’s do a simple analogy. Let’s say APC field Okorocha and PDP fields Peter Obi in an election.

For the SW: the vote will be divided because the Yorubas usually vote 55/45 when the candidate is not a Yoruba. Check all elections where the leading candidates are outsiders to understand what I mean. I score Okorocha 55% here.

For the SS: I can bet it that Peter Obi will win at least 70% of their votes and Okorocha will only muster maximum 30%.

For the SE: Peter Obi will win with at least 85-90% of the votes.

For the NC: It will almost be 50/50% for both candidates.

For the NW & NE: The vice presidential candidate will be the determinant. There will be voter apathy and even if APC will win it won’t be over 60%. The North will be somehow indifferent and especially with how Igbos constantly burn bridges with their unguarded utterances. let’s say Okorocha win 60%.

Now do the Maths yourself to see that APC will dig their own grave if they present an Igbo president against an Igbo presidential candidate in PDP.

Is Southern Nigeria,a political party?

RTSC:
The only southern candidate we know in 2023 is from the South east.

That is what southern Nigeria will vote for.

Any other southern candidate from any other ethnic group is on his own.

True but with the help of Boomoo he may be rigged in which is the normal thing.

Thats why we Nigerians should open eyes and start now to make plans on how to displaced these useless and heartless politicians we have.

Conflicts is what they love except it is directed to their doorsteps and it takes their lives,if not it will be wasted efforts.

A time has come we either secure our deginity and that of our unborn children now or we keep dying in slavery and penury.

I say it again,if you are an armed robber or kidnapper in this forum,i beg you not to direct your anger to the poor citizens why waste the life of those who are passing thru what you going thru?
Channel it to the politicians families.....

In this way there will be relative peace and less deaths, this is a clarion call we must abide, gone are the days we play politics or sabo with our motherland, things are out of hand.

quote author=Ezeama400 post=92310872]Tinubu is not a threat to anyone...

If Awolowo who was a Christian and loved by all yorubas could not get it despite his two attempts, is it Tinubu whom some of his people are cursing on the street will actualize such dream ?

Again,It's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of niddle than for a Muslim southerner to rule this country under this structure, the same is applicable to northern christians.. They are politically disadvantaged, it's a very sad reality we must swallow.
As for Abiola's case concerning issue of religion, Nigerians were so desperate for democracy to the extent that they were ready to accept anyone as long as democracy will be praticed. Nigerians didn't care about religion unlike what is obtainable today where average Nigerian on the street is so concious of his faith due to religious crisis that has happened in the past and the present as well..
We need to come as one,we are talking about rescuing Nigeria from death! This death will affect all!

Its not about tribe, ask yourself what have we really gained since the times the yorubas and Hausas ruled?

Some of the yoruba Presidents did well, but i urge us all brothers and sisters to set aside our differences, backgrounds, religion and the name of my moniker and give the Ibos chance to rule.

I have faith if the ibos are given tje chance we can achieve relative peace and progress.

quote author=myboy2111 post=92311549]How can Tinubu be a threat to a whole Tribe? No wonder they shout his name everyday.

Since 1960, every tribe has been contesting every election without restrictions. It is an open field .

South Easterners should not be scared in contesting against the South Westerners.
We are not here to flex muscles or argue,Ibos with if not the largest population has been marginalised for long but the yorubas have failed to see that they have also always been used and dumped by the Hausa/Fulani.

A yoruba man says he is wise, but thru history right after civil war,the Hausa/Fulani has been using them and the middlebelt to achieve their own aims.

After the overthrow of Gowon,Dimka a middlebelt struck and killed Murtala.
The Hausa/Fulani(HF) feared there may be another unrest, skillfully brought in Obasanjo as Military President but remained the main force in govt, after using him they dumped him and forced him to declare Shehu Shagari winner.

After the overthrow of Shagari by Buhari thru agreed and planned coup,it became part of them till MKO was denied Presidency after winning the 1993 election.

After the take over of rulership, they passed power from one Northern hand to another thru same method, agreed coup.

During the time of Sanni Abacha there were plans to kill Obasanjo,he was imprisoned till God intervened and put him in Aso Rock.

That was why Obasanjo fought them especially in 2nd term but those that didnt understand these HF were against Obasanjo and had him pushed out after the two terms.

Now they brought Osibanjo as VP,a puppet and rubbished him.
I believe he is only collecting his salary as VP nothing more, just sitting in his office watching television all day,his duties denied him.

Still the Yorubas will claim to be wise,i dont mean to offend anyone but am a realist so i try to paint the picture as it.

It doesnt mean the Ibos have not made mistakes too,but it is the Ibos in power that can stem the violence coming from HF.

Others have tried, its now time for the Ibos to have a taste of it and prove their worth.

Thank You

Mo3891:

*Awolowo lost or was rigged out of two elections
*Abiola won 1993 election even when Ibos voted for Northern candidate because of Ibo vice
*Olusegun Obasanjo won 1999 primaries against Alex Ekwueme, won 2003 general election against Buhari and his Ibo vice

Why are Ibos scared of contesting against Tinubu?
