It's the Yoruba Muslim population that's the reason the North will naturally gravitate towards Yorubas.
OkutaNla:

Just hear your mumu talk. So you people admit that your past behaviour of burning bridges and casting aspersions at other tribes will count against your presidential aspiration. And that Yorubas actually have 'friends up North' while igbos don't? So instead you are waiting to be gifted the Presidency on a silver platter, or failing to achieve that you will resort to blackmailing those that have painstakingly built alliances and political coalitions over time and are willing to compete for the position, by voting another Northerner, abi? And una think say una wise You cannot reap where you did not sow.

Fools. Nigeria will split before 2023. We can’t live in same country as those Northern Barbarians! How can a religious court sentence a human to dead?
It’s time to breakaway.

Atiku will be disappointed again....since he can cry....his cry continues after 2023...because Tinubu will defeat him grandiosely...Tinubu just need one popular Hausa-Fulani as his deputy...
Then the game will be balance....

That's Tinubu's dilemma. He can't run on a muslim/muslim ticket. He's looking for a christian middlebelter from as far north as possible. Dogara fits the role but he is lightweight infact flyweight compared to Atiku

Power must come to the South 2023, so Atiku is out of the game South East should even be the prime place to produce the President since South West produced Obasanjo South south produced Jonathan so the South East should get ready and put their house in order

Tinubu should allow Osinbajo to go for the president slot....because the north can't give their full support to any Christian Fulani person....and he can't run on the muslim-Muslim ticket...so....the Igbo people need to uproot oshibajo before they can be successful.....
And papa Adeboye say make this foolish Tinubu converted to Christain, he know want....now his political ambition is on limbo.....
There is no how Aboki will support Christain Aboki....not possible.....because the northerners are Muslim dominated...and their Muslim religion plays major priority in any election....Tinubu needs to bring on board Oshibajo....less we lose this chance to Nyamiri people for life...

I get the point you foolish souls are trying to make. So you Igbos believe n admit that without the help of the Yorubas who stand tall like kings before Igbos u can not accomplish the simple task of becoming the president ?

This is similar to how foolish Igbos also antagonise Yoruba to establish Oduduwa Republic so it can bring about Biafra ?

The same way Ojukwu wanted Awo to go to war which he did not only for Ojukwu to waste over 3 million foolish Igbos in the war ba ?

Well like Awo disappointed your forefathers you should know even if your father wail to death Yoruba will not be stepping down for Igbos so you can continue your wail of agony, relentless insult on the Yorubas, no one is moved.

Last last when Yorubas can't take it anyone the will chase you out of the land the way Ikwerre n the north did n just to be clear you still won't have Biafra. If you repeat the agidi of another civil war, you can bet your life this time around Igboland will be annihilated this time around. God is my witness.

Do you know the amount of pressure that would be upon the 2 major parties to field Igbo candidates if the SW openly declares that 2023 presidency belongs to the SE? Do you know what that would do for southern unity which is the most important thing at this point in time where the north is driving Nigeria to a permanent state of retrogression? I bet you don't know because you are only thinking of yourselves.

Ibo cry has not started. Tinubu will win. People without shame. They don't want to present an ibo man again. ibo tribe without friends. Who wants to be ibo friend? People that are not trustworthy.

It is most unfair for any major tribe in Nigeria to say that we are concentrated on pulling down other tribes.

Since the return to democracy, igbos have supported men from SW, SS and the core north, even against other igbos. And when it should ordinarily be the turn of the south east, the Yoruba's say No. And you expect the igbos not to play the spoilers?

Igbo problem with Yoruba started during Jonathan, Yoruba were shock by their attitude and hatred, and Igbo follow it up with Nnamdi Kanu attack & insult.

most of Yoruba that hate Tinubu so much have to support him, Yoruba are very detribalize until Igbo are showing there true colour.

You people always think it's Tinubu or his political party that brainwashed Yoruba to hate Igbo, how many follower did Tinubu have out of millions of Yoruba worldwide.

millions of Yoruba who did not belong any political party not Tinubu puppet, but has being watching political power play in this country, discovered the kind of hatred Igbo have for the Yoruba during Jonathan, subsequent Kanu.

lots of us followed the politics play in this country, and before we think Igbo is our brother.

The Tinubu you people hated so much, integra Igbo in Lagos politic without them ask for it, he gave them several political position, very big position at that

Are Igbo not fools then? If you are ready to go out all to vote a northerner whom you are very sure his people would never vote you against Yoruba. Who is the slave? Yoruba or Igbo?

Pa Ayo Adebanjo and the Afenifere have said that since 2019.

Just within the last 6 weeks, Alh Tanko Yakassi, Ex-Gov Balarabe Musa and Chairman of Northern Youths Movement, Mallam Shettima Yerima have said that the S/East should produce the President in 2023.

How do you hand over the entire security architecture of a nation, as well as 80% of relevant agencies to the Islamic north and want to be seen as anything other than a moslem party?

You say the Niger Delta hates us? In politics, I disagree. They are the only region today that will easily and willingly vote for an Igbo man. Edwin Clark is already saying that 2023 should be for the igbos. Have you heard any Yoruba or Hausa leader say that?

Tinubu should just support an Osinbajo candidacy, there's no Christian up North or in the middle belt with the required clout.

You know hmm crew when you see them. Biafra today, Atiku tomorrow. Ask him to tell Adaobi his boss to compete for the PDP ticket. He won't! But if it's to send his boys to beat up Ekweremadu or insult Rochas, Umahi and the rest aiming for the ticket, that is when you'll see their muscle. Adaobi should contest for Presidency and stop hiding behind Atiku with the help of his IPOB clowns. Rather than man up and champion the quest for Igbo Presidency for the APC and PDP, some bunch of paid scallywags are secretly distracting Ndigbo with their Biafra or death, but secretly pushing one Aboki for Presidency.

I've said my own. Take nairaland IPOB clowns serious at your peril.

I don't hate Tinubu. I think he's presently Nigeria's greatest politician.

What i hate is lack of fairness. Igbos have supported people from all tribes in their quest for power, but can't get the same in return. The yorubas say Obasanjo wasn't their choice that Falae was. How is that supposed to be the concern of the igbos who yoruba's choice is. We supported a Yoruba man; A man who was very brutal to the igbos during the civil war. We supported him even against the man who led us to war Ojukwu. We supported him against Chuba Okadigbo who was Buhari's running mate in 2003, and anybody dares to call the igbos tribalists. Igbo's go to distant lands and make their homes and livelihood there but are treated with disdain because they raise their heads high.

We have no explaining to give to anyone: we remain and will forever remain the most detribalized tribe in nigeria. Non even comes close. Go to the east and see the few yorubas living there. They are treated with utmost respect and courtesy. They won't relocate to their home states for anything.

There are many yorubas who are detribalized as well, but the present political class of yorubas, who unfortunately have the ears of many youths are highly tribalistic.

What would be the point of PDP fielding an Igbo presidential candidate if it results in a landslide win for APC in 2023? There are power blocs in Nigeria, particularly in the North and West that are not comfortable with an Igbo man being president and will never vote for an Igbo man.

The only way an Igbo man can become President is if all the major political parties in Nigeria zone their presidency to the South East and I do not see that happening. Thats how a Yoruba man emerged president in 1999 when all the parties chose Yorubas as their candidates.

An Atiku Presidency will almost guarantee the South East the vice presidency and thats better than nothing
