Brendaniel: How is this misleading? I really want to learn. Is drinking alcohol a sin? Is smoking a sin? Is gambling a sin? Is self servicing a sin? I can go on and on to list man made sins that pastors are preaching about and misleading people. Drunkeness is a sin and not alcohol intake. Smoking destroys your organs but it is a bad habit and bad habits are never equal to clear sins... How is gambling a sin? Its high time we put all these heretic preachings in check and allow people to find salvation in peace. |

If you can't then you are going straight to hell and I can give you a scripture to prove my point. 2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. |

Toks2008: Matters of the heart, as with all spiritual things. What leads on you to masturbation? You don't just flip the switch and say I want to masturbate, the actual act is physical manifestation of what had already been concluded in your heart. So the lust already set in, you've pondered on the lust and you've agreed the only way to achieve this is via masturbation. Now that's sin, mate; not to even talk about the sin against your body. Saying this isn't sin is itself heretic. We all need to rely on the holy spirit for strength to overcome this habits. |

A timely message. But it isn't a ticket to indulge in bad habits. Ask God for help sincerely to break bad habits, it works. Many pastors, including overseers, no longer preach the word of salvation. They preach only 7 formula to get wealth. You will get the wealth and wallow in fire. 1 Like 1 Share |

Toks2008: But you know these things you listed can still lead people to hell, some people will go to hell for getting married and some people will go to hell for not getting married, the truth is whatever you are doing, your intentions matter a lot, the limitation of investigations and judgements here on earth are based on fact findings and evidence, but when you are dealing with God, He searches from the deepest parts of your intents to start your judgement, Matthew 5:28 But I say to you, That whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, Matthew 5:22,39 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment, like I said earlier God's judgement starts from the intent of the heart, that's why I tell people that there are soldiers who will die in battle front and still go to heaven, why? Because of the intents of their heart while at war(though as Christians). As a Christian your intention should be to stop any bad act or habit, even if it is an addiction, what God wants is a willing heart, God knows everyone's weaknesses, Anything you do that leads you to sin you should have the intention of stopping it, even eating food can become a sin once it is done too much, all the things you listed have one major problem that comes with them... ADDICTION, it is better to avoid them if you can because addiction is very hard to control, and If you are already in it, it is better you try stop them because of the addiction that comes with it. So ask yourself a question, If you had a son that was into all the things you listed above would you be happy about it? 2 Likes 1 Share |

Many pastors know this truth but but tell the people what they want to hear so as not to lose members & some simply don't know the truth. All you have said is pure heresy & you're trying to encourage people in their sin. Take it from someone who has died & got a second chance. |

Brendaniel: Even eating too much can take you to hell....anything can take you to hell if you do it detrimentally. Do you know that some people usually smoke weed for medicinal purposes? Do you know that some people self service on doctor's advise for health reasons? If not for stupidity how on earth did they even get the idea that self servicing is a sin? Are you aware that Drunkenness and taking alcohol in moderation are too different things....or do you think the writer of the bible was foolish when Drunkenness was listed as a sin and not the intake of alcohol itself? Many ignorant people are writing things that come into their heads on this thread and i cant fault them cos many of them are sheeples who neither study GOD's words or even have a reasoning faculty to reason o their own but just garbage out what they heard from their pastors who preach as if they are GOD. Any act that seems unpleasant in their eyes is automatically a sin not because the bible says so but because they feel so. How dumb, heretic and vague can they ever be? Ask them to back their claims with scriptures and you will see them blabbing. |
Re: Habits, Sins And the Amazing Grace of GOD. by Toks2008(m): 4:39am On Jan 04, 2021 |
Baba1010: You are so so ridiculously naive and you dont even waste time to showcase your ignorance to the whole world. How does it become a sin to have sexual thoughts as a sexually active human created by GOD with sexual feelings? Just look at how you have boxed yourself into self imposed bondage. Only a fool tries to pray away sexual urge. You either master it by having self control and if you cant control it then freaking please yourself sexually if you must as long as you don't fornicate...if you want to touch yourself to ease off then go ahead and express your sexuality. The problem is with the addictive nature of self servicing which is the big problem and just like every other act that we can get addicted to, self servicing is one of them. How is is a crime if a married man or woman self service by thinking about their spouse or hos is it a sin if a single person thinks about sex and then pleases his or herself? Cant you see how foolish many people have become trying to fight a lost battle? It is when you use visual aids like pornography to self service that you have crossed the line cos viewing porn makes you lust after the actors which is a sin cos you look lustfully but thinking about sex is a different thing...it is natural just like thinking about food or having the urge to use the bathroom. MAY GOD deliver many people from self imposed bondage. Ignorant people everywhere. Self servicing is not, can never and was never mentioned as a sin so lets leave it that way and not rewrite the scriptures which is a terrible sin on its own....It is a habit like any other which can become addictive and once an individual starts self servicing abnormally or excessively then it has become a big problem that needs to be addressed and that is where the Holy spirit comes in as i wrote in the piece but it remains a habit and not a sin. |

Righteousness2:. Good morning, God bless you. I don't judge people because I was once an unbeliever but soft messages to soothe the heart and ear of those who enjoys sin is the reason why many are in the Church but comfortably commits sin without remorse (their conscience are dead). Let us look at drunkenness which he said that is not a sin despite that the Bible pointed it out. When I was an unbeliever, I drink and I know that alcohol has a spirit, I gave my life to Christ and the Holy took over. The truth remains that the Holy Spirit and the spirit behind alcohol can't stay together at the same time in my heart. The Holy Spirit who is my teacher always instructs me on things to do per time and if I ever indulge in drinking alcohol, the Holy Spirit will leave cos He is a gentle Spirit and can't strive with any other spirit. To the Toks2008, pls read Romans 6: 1-10 , thank you. 1 Like 1 Share |

Dem do una with this appalling attitude of writing what comes to your heads rather than what you read. This is a new year and you guys should stop this annoying thing. And yes as i wrote, everyone has a terrible habit that is an impediment in their lives. Yours is alcohol and the Holy spirit has dealt with it for you Halleluiah..Me i dont even drink alcohol at all. Maybe mine may be eating too much but the spirit is also there to help. That is the message in my write up so you guys should learn to read, comprehend before rushing to post incoherent notions. |

Toks2008:Good morning, this is not a fight OK, I believe that you want to pass a message to help ppl but you are turning it to a fight via your comment. Bad habits are sin because we always pray to be librated from them. Bear in mind that no one is perfect but Romans 6:1 said that we should not continue in sin that grace may abound, it continued by saying : God forbid... I don't judge people and it's not good to judge people but you mentioned alcohol, 1st Cor 6:10 says that drunkered will go to hell, you gave example with the woman caught in adultery, if I indulged in adultery and repented genuinely, I will be forgiven but if I continue in it calling it a bad habit , 1st Cor 6:9 confirmed that I will go to hell. Salvation is a message of love from God through Christ (John 3:16) but we should not continue in sin after we have known the truth, thank you. 1 Like |

For how long shall we continue this way? The scripture is there as reference point but they will prefer to just write whatever comes to their heads. I could afford to ignore but for the sake of the souls of millions out there trooping to Hell everyday i just have to blot out. Ok look at what you wrote up there...when and where in my write up did i say drunkenness's not a sin? Is that not annoying enough. Toks2008:Good morning, I read all you wrote before I commented OK, I quoted you on one of your comments and I pointed out that it's not a fight OK, I believe that you have the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit abhors strife . Your aim is to pass a message to ppl that you want them to be saved, pls do that with discretion and God will bless you. I don't judge people but I always discourage them from evil which include: sin and bad habit. Finally, as regards to alcohol which you mentioned, 1st Cor 6:10 clarifies it. Ever since I became a Christian, the Holy Spirit has helped me so much, whenever I sinned, He will remind me of my sin and I will ask for forgiveness, I'm not perfect but I can't enjoy sin again because the Holy Spirit will always kick against it, thank you. |

Toks2008:See how you are roaring up and down on this thread trying to justify your sins, you just dont want to learn, very unteachable spirit. God help you and deliver you cause you dont know what you are doing. How can someone open their mouth and say masturbation is not a sin, even when I wasn't a born again, I knew deep down within me that it is a sin, watching porn too is sin. Stop trying to pet your sins, it won't change it from being a sin, you claim masturbation is not a sin yet every year people add it to their new year resolution as something they are struggling to stop, masturbation is sponsored by a sexual demon which is why its difficult to stop save by the grace of Yahweh, if I should go back to masturbation, I tell you with everything within me, I won't be connected to God again and spiritual level will go back to zero, even the Lord has warned me to avoid such sexual sin. Masturbation is one sin that has been holding many youth and people down and stopping tnem from being close to God, go and read that thread on "what that sin that prevent you from coming to Christ" by Jesusjnr2020, check the thread and you will see people struggling with the sin of masturbation. The major mistake many people are making is to think they can bribe their way into heaven by good conducts. Am i saying good conducts is bad or not needed? Of course not. Scriptures makes us understand that even the good conducts of man is as a filthy rag. It falls short of the righteousness that God demands. So what then must be done? First, the scripture concluded everyone under sin, and revealed man's desperate need for salvation. The Bible teaches that sin existed in the soul of man before he was aware of it, and that the Law simply makes man conscious of sin which already dwells in him (Romans 7:7-14). *Men are guilty first of all because of what they are "sinners" and only secondarily because of what they do "sin". Galatians 2:21, KJV: "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." This was why Christ hath to come, otherwise the laws were there to keep. He needed not have come. Just obey all the laws and if you keep them perfectly then you are good to go. But then no man could. For if any man offend in one law, he is guilty of all. Wow. What an unattainable position. Glory to God that Christ came. This is the gospel delievered to the apostles that faith should be placed in Christ Jesus. Just as the serpent was lifted up in the wilderness that everyone who looked to it got saved from those snake bites, so is the son of man lifted up that everyone who looks to him is saved. But No, many say that is not enough. How surprising it will be on that day for many whose trust is in their righteousness that could never attain to what God demands. Paul laid to rest in Romans 10:2-4 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Many people have established their own righteousness and have refused to submit to the righteousness of God. No doubt, that is man's pride in action. To think that you have nothing to bring to the table rather than your faith, which itself is a gift from God as the scripture revealed. So what did we even bring, when even the faith was God's gift itself. Unless we humble ourselves and agree with God that we could never have attained salvation by ourselves, that was why Paul said, it is of grace, otherwise many will boast on that day that they made it there by their many efforts. Scriptures makes us understand that by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified (gal 2:16). Summary: Salvation is an act of God. That is why Jesus is called the author and finisher of faith. God saw the sinner, choose him, bought him, justified him, renews him, keeps him and finally will glorify him. There is no loss of sequence. (Rom 8:30, Eph 1:13-14). What we do to get it is faith in the finished works of Christ. This faith can in turn produce a change of attitude and behaviour. For the just shall live by faith. Salvation comes first and then we are told to live our life as the new creature that we are, and not that we try to live to earn salvation. We live right because of who we are and not necessarily for what we are trying to be. That was the summary of most of the epistles. God bless you. 1 Like |

See the way people are goofing big time on this thread o. Do you know one thing about religion? It does not give room for change and it does not give room for questions. Traditions must be preserved at all cost, even if in error. For all those attacking @OP's message, many of them deep down in their hearts have questions but they are afraid. Religion has shackled them with fear, fear of hell, not the fear of God. @OP you have written well, but maybe you should consider your audience the next time before talking about things like this. Most folks responding to your post do so with their own idea of salvation, not the salvation that the bible talks about. Imagine someone saying some people will go to hell for getting married while others will go to hell for not getting married. Just imagine that! Ask people to say what salvation is and you will begin to hear them talk about what you do or do not do as if salvation is something they can earn by doing good. Anyway, this is one of the reasons why the atheists think we are stupid. That you have an opinion on something does not mean that you know that thing. Let me resist the urge to mention names, but there are some here who are driving many to destruction by their message of SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS disguised as the gospel which is nothing but a perversion of the gospel of Christ. Albeit, the most important thing is for a man to receive the Lord Jesus Christ. Peace! Before you assume you know, what is sin? What is Salvation? How does salvation come? Go and do a proper study of your bible. I'm not talking about that religious kind of study where most people and preachers turn Jesus upside down. One clue for you, go and understand Grace. Without the understanding of Grace, any attempt to answer the above questions and more questions about the bible will only result in error. Receive freedom from fear in Jesus name. 1 Like |
